We haven't started yet but for sure Target, maybe Babies R Us or Amazon. We only have 1 BBB in the whole state apparently and it's not that close to anyone. I don't really know of any other stores than those.

with dd we did BRU and Baby Earth. There's no BBB near us, and I had a bad experience with Target for my wedding registry. BRU is obvious, and we did Baby Earth because I wanted cloth diapers and other organic stuff.
Target and BRU. We don't have a buy buy baby in town. Most of my items were at Target since they're cheaper but I know some people had trouble finding items in the store.

BRU only. We don't have a BBB nearby and I had so many issues with Target registry for my brother's wedding that I didn't want to go that route. Nice thing about BRU is that they price match everything and we get 10% back when all is said and done.
I only told people about BRU and Target though. PBK is just to get the discount on hooded towels, and I wanted the discount on Amazon too, since we shop there a ton.
With DS1 we did BRU because that was what was convenient for the people for our shower (different state and people who like to shop in person).
For DS2 we are not having a shower but I still like having a list of things I want to get and the registry completion coupon will be nice. We have BBB and Amazon.

Just Amazon. I looked at doing registries at a couple brick-and-mortar stores, but there just wasn't enough stuff I liked at any of them. (We've already been given so many hand-me-downs, we just don't need that much of the "basic" stuff.)
One shower (mostly older family members in a very rural community) relied heavily on Target, the other (younger, Internet-savvy friends) relied heavily on BBB.
Really the only people who ordered from Amazon were those who couldn't actually make it to the shower, which I guess makes sense - easy to just get things straight to me. It wasn't used heavily but was probably my favorite place to register just because of the variety available.
This is pretty much exactly what I did, and for the same reasons. We only have eight things on the Amazon list...pretty much just stuff that I had my heart set on (I started by doing one big registry on Amazon, since they have pretty much everything, and then moved stuff off of that one onto either the Target or BBB list), so I pretty much just plan on using my completion discount to get those things.
this time, we really don't need anything, so my registries are more like shopping lists for me for the registry completion coupon. so, amazon, BRU, and PBK.
