I'm a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding next summer. This weekend we're having a "wedding planning GTG". I don't even know what that means...my bridesmaids did not help me plan my wedding.
I had a dream last night that the government was going to start taxing student loans. They were going to convince people already paying student loans to participate in the new student loan taxation program with an ad campaign complete with a jingle sung by Katie Perry that goes "One, Two, Three, Four Taxes!"
What the hell subconcious?!? I could be dreaming about vacationing in Fiji. Step it up a notch!

Just scheduled a showing for our house. Let's see if they actually show up, or if they cancel. I clarified that they know our house IS NOT ON THE WATER. We've had 2 scheduled showings cancelled bc the Realtor failed to mention that the house wasn't on the water, or bc the Realtor couldn't check a map to see that the house wasn't on the water. This is a common misconception since we live in a town called ______________ Beach. shockingly, there is no beach here; and our street is 1 of 2.5 that aren't on the water.
M is passed out in his MamaRoo. I was going to take him out to run some errands before the cleaning lady got here, but I just got a call that the glider is going to be delivered in 20 min. So I am sitting here enjoying the quietude!

Maybe you'll end up with an 8 page wedding weekend itinerary like the wedding my H is in next month.
Man I hope not!
I have a feeling she thinks that all of the BMs need to help plan & execute the wedding. (As in help select flowers, invitations, decor, etc.) And I think a good part of this wedding will be DIY. I'm all for tossing around ideas via phone/email but I don't have time for multiple planning & DIY days, she lives an hour away from me. #partypooper

I'm on the train commuting to work and there a bunch of elementary school kids on a field trip.
Three of the chaperone mom's are sitting in front of me and they are insufferable.
First they said they love meeting other school mom's unless they are 29 years old or younger. Young mom's just can't relate. Once we are in our 30's, 40's, 50's we are all the same. And now they are talking about what botox injections they get, eyelid lifting surgery and boob jobs. Now two of them are realizing they had the same plastic surgeon...sqeeeee!...

I am an idiot. I left my baby for five hours yesterday, didn't pump and ended up with a huge clog by evening.
I'm not sure how to deal with this going forward. if I am home, our nanny will bring DS to me to nurse, but if I have to go out for an appointment, he'll get a bottle. typically, I'll be spending my time out of the house on the subway and at the appointment itself. There's really no time to pump in there. I'm hoping my body will adjust, but since it won't be a daily thing, maybe not.
Ugh. Time for more Lecithin supplements.
Can you carry a manual and use a restroom to pump while out?
anna7602 this is what I did too. The manual Medela breaks down into a few small parts that easily fit in my purse. Anytime I was away from DS for several hours, like dinner and a movie, I pumped a bit for relief and dumped it. Worked great!

Someone else's kid puked all over my car. In my other daughter's car seat. 4 to 5 times projectile. FML. Not how I was planning on spending my morning, at least DH was home and able to keep our other daughter and switch cars with me.

Yikes! Did the other parent not offer to help clean up? Also, I'm not sure what FML means.

She wasn't there :-) you really don't know what FML is?
i posted yesterday about booking a flight home to see my parents. today my dad decided to look at flights to a small, regional airport that is only 20 minutes from their house (vs. the 2-3 hours to BUF or ROC that we usually fly into). i never bother looking for flights there because prices are usually insane and they have limited flights in and out each day... except with the natural gas boom in that area, they've recently restructured schedules and prices. he found a more direct flight, better times, shorter layovers AND it was $50 cheaper. so i geared up for a huge fight to cancel the flight i booked yesterday... when i called westjet the guy said, "oh, there is a note on this file to call you today. there was a glitch in the system when you booked yesterday and it couldn't charge your credit card so we'll still honour the price if you want it, but your reservation doesn't actually exsist." what luck is that?!

My interview went well. I'm expecting the paperwork tomorrow. But my manager gave me the keys for the new place and we've made a plan for the schedule. Now I'm just nervous about taking on this new role. Everyone else thinks I can do this without a problem , why can't I have the same confidence in myself?
