I liked it more than I thought I would. I expected it to be bad writing in an attempt to be overly serious. I like that it is funny. I have to many serious crime drama type shows on my DVR already so I needed a show like this. I am pleasantly surprised.
I think the overlap of genres is the gimmick. I remember someone, Billy Bush (?), asking Debra Messing about it at the Emmy's and she made sure to talk about how it's the first show of its kind. *shrugs*
The second episode was better but I'm still not totally loving it. It was one of those shows that I bored so I decided to give it a try. I didn't set my dvr for it so if I can catch them I will but I won't be sad if it gets cancelled.
