DS was an awesome baby today. He slept in until 7, almost learned how to roll, started mimicking my consonant sounds, started holding his head up a lot, discovered the dogs, and only pooped 3 times!
The only hiccup is that it is 8:00 and he's still wide awake.

M got the stool out of the bathroom and fed the entire jar of food to the goldfish at some point between dinner and bedtime. I put the fish in a small fishbowl and I will clean the tank tomorrow.
C head butted my nose tonight and I'm wondering if it's broken - I'd know if it was broken right?
She's learned how to give hugs and kisses in the last few days and it's the most adorable thing ever. Â My H and I just placed bets on when she'll get up for her usual #bedtimeisforchumps nonsense. He says 8:51. I say 9:27.
I hate the headbutt to the nose. Did it bleed? Hugs and kisses from little kids are so great.
DH agreed to help his sister "put a few things in the truck" for her move. Hours ago. I'm sad for him, but I'm also sad for me. I want him to scream at his sis and dad "Hey! I didn't see my kids today!" but I know he won't. They drive me just a little bit crazy.
DH has said he would unload the dishwasher for 2 days now and when I asked him after work to please do it he had the nerve to tell me I hadn't worked all day and why couldn't I do it. RAGE
PDQ but I've been in a mutual BEC situation with a superior at work for over a year now and have had lots of bad thoughts about her. She was just diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and will be gone for several months. She's only in her 40s and has a kid in high school. I feel terrible and guilty even though I know they're not connected.

They just made an arrest for a guy who suspected of arson for the massive fire near my town.
If he is guilty I say they should drop him in the fire! Ugh! It's over 70,000 acres and now can be seen from space. It's basically ruined the forest and lots of state and county campgrounds for decades.
And my mom's BFF had to evacuate her house. Makes me sick.
Annnnnddddd dh is on his way home. covered in fleas and mildew (as is all of our baby shit that we've loaned her). it turns out sil had to be out of her appt at 8am tomorrow and he got the call to help at 4 today. because she's only known for 2 months. daggers.

H has a 102 fever, sore throat, headache, and has been home sick all day. He's camped out in our room and we're trying to stay away from him, but I'm sure we have been exposed to whatever he has. If I get sick it better be on Saturday or Sunday when I'm not home with a toddler all day.
And DD has eczema or something all over her body. (I am not totally negligent, my pedi nurse friend looked at it and said she wouldn't take her in yet and she thought it was eczema.) We did an oatmeal bath (so now the tub is dirty) and I lathered her up with a thick layer of cetaphil before bed. She woke up screaming at 5 a.m. and I gave her motrin because I thought it was a tooth coming through (she was gnawing on her finger) but now I'm wondering if she's itchy. Oops.
I need a glass of wine. Unfortunately due to the current resident of my uterus I'll settle for a piece of leftover costco cake from the freezer.
So, DC asked me today if DS ever sleeps sitting up and I said no. They said today he fell asleep sitting up while he was sitting in his crib sucking on his paci. She said he would pull it out just as he was about to fall asleep and make himself unhappy. Finally he succumbed to the paci, but then they said after he fell asleep he started laughing. I just have a vision of my crazy baby sitting up in his crib completely asleep laughing like a crazy person. Then DC teacher said, "it was cute..." and I was like, "umm, no that's creepy" and her response was "well now that you said it" lol.

I'm so glad they arrested someone. This fire is so devastating.

Well, I'm not pregnant. My period just decided to show up over a week late. Leo must have known I was sad this morning, because he's been turning on the cuteness ever since.
I have been trying to get Annie down since 9 and she's still not all the way asleep. Close your eyes, go to sleeeeeep, your mom didn't get a nap today ::yawn::
Good luck namasteak! I'm sure he'll be fine. :-) Greek yogurt was always a hit with DD too and that gets some protein in them. She also loved/loves blueberries and bananas, both of which are easy to chew and pick up with baby fingers.
Have you tried freeze dried fruits/veggies/yogurt drops? That's a different texture and they kind of melt in your mouth, but the vitamins are still there. DD likes those too.
DH is annoyed at me because I turned him down for sex, so he's sleeping downstairs. I really don't care, I'm freakin tired...whole bed to myself, yes please!
Sadly, breastfeeding and the mini pill along with my post-baby body insecurities are really tanking my already low sex drive...
We're in the middle of a 5-/hour-plus drive to Cape Cod. I read DH @this ' recap of he uncrustables thread as an attempt at entertainment. It turned into a "you had to be there" moment, lol.
He says he misses having a message board (in his 20s he used to frequent an improv board) and I keep trying to get him to join us. But he's not interested. you guys would love him. He's hilarious, especially in small sound bites.
Does anyone remember the MTV show Engaged & Underage? I miss it. It was so ridiculous and unlike Teen Mom I didn't have to feel bad about innocent babies being involved.
DH promised me that if we watched his show last night (Sons of Anarchy), he would stay up with me tonight to watch all of my movie (Captain America 2). I bet you can guess what happened, he wanted to stop it halfway through and go to bed. So I snarkly told him to go to bed, and I stayed up and finished it.

Not liking because your BEC counterpart has cancer... But because I've been there too.
