WHEN DID IT STOP???
dh and I are losing our minds. Last night ds2 happily (and loudly) sleep grunted from 4:30 -7am straight. There was never more than 5 mins of quiet. If cosleeping weren't so convenient for bf he'd be outta here and in the nursery by now.

Slowed at 4 months, got much better around 5 months! (yes I took note of this 'milestone' lol)
It was bad, I'm sorry. He would be asleep in the infant carrier when we were out and people never believed that he was asleep! The horse and raptor noises were the worst.
Ugh, we have a grunter too! And there is nowhere for him to go because long term he'll be sharing a room with DS1. He's 2 months and no less grunting yet, here's hoping he quiets down sooner rather than later!

DD didn't get quieter until about 4 or 5 months. Of course, that's also around the time we moved her to her own room, so maybe she didn't get quieter, we just couldn't hear her any more?
I swear, this is one of those things no one ever tells you about having a baby. Everyone says sleep when the baby sleeps, but how are you supposed to do that when you have a little gremlin making so much noise??
My baby is in her own room and I can hear her grunts from my bedroom across the hall. I'm a super light sleeper so I'd get even less sleep if we co slept.

I seriously LOLed at horse and raptor noises... that's a perfect description!
DS1 was a big grunter. We moved him to his own room at 4 weeks because we couldn't sleep with all the grunting. He would grunt from 4am to 7am every morning. I remember lying there awake thinking he will either poop or wake up soon.... nope just more grunting. I think he grew out of it around 2 months.
L was a grunter because he was pushing gas or poop out. We started him on probiotic around 6 weeks old and he's gotten much better. More peaceful nights of sleep.
My first wasn't a grunter but a meower. She was so loud when she slept, meowing and moaning. We had planned on having her in a co sleeper but she got shipped off to her crib across the house her first week.
She's five now and is still a really loud and restless sleeper. If we were loaded we'd get her an adjoining room when we stay in a hotel, lol. She sighs, smacks, groans, talks.
Co sleeping is convenient only if you are able to sleep!
I'm not sure. It's one of the reasons I moved him into his own room at 2 months. Concern that J's snoring preventing AJ from sleeping soundly was the other.

omg DS and I co-slept for a 3 weeks and it was terrible. When he moved to the crib it was slightly better because we is at least 7 ft from me. I think it went on for 7-8 weeks.

DS is grunty, but I have pugs, so I guess I'm used to it! Although, the pugs sleep in a crate downstairs for a reason. Lol.
The only time it bothers me is if it's after a MOTN feeding and I can't get back to sleep. He seems to not grunt when he's on his belly, but he's way too new for that, unless it's a nap during the day and I'm right there.
