I joined a cornhole league, and tonight is my first game. Hopefully I won't completely embarrass myself, but I won't know anyone there, so I'm not too worried. I played with my sister at a bar on Sunday, and she beat me but not too badly. lol
I'm wearing ON pixie pants that were rec'd on ML, and I love them! I sized up because ON pants are usually not accommodating of my ass/hips, but I probably didn't need to since they are pretty stretchy. So comfortable.
I know everyone is excited for fall (I am too), but I am super looking forward to decorating my apartment for Christmas.
I remember MH telling me about cornhole when we first met. I thought it meant something dirty until we went to our friend's house to play. LOL I was so pissed because I told him to leave it alone. Better yet, the quote I used was, "No way, asshole. Drop it."
I didn't know they have leagues! That sounds like fun!
I feel you on the Christmas thing. I've accumulated so many decorations I just can't wait!
Hahaha. When I tell people about it who probably haven't heard the name before, I'm sure to say, "this bean bag game". Yeah, there's a bunch of leagues here for "young professionals" - soccer, kickball, dodgeball, etc. Since this one's at a bar and they run drink specials the whole time, I figured it was more my speed than an actual sport.

Cornhole is pretty fun, but I've never thought to do it in a competition league. Sounds like a great way to meet some new folks and have some fun. We played at the last tailgate, and I wasn't half-bad!
After a long week of nasty weather, we are finally rewarded today with cooler temps, low humidity, and bright sunshine. I was so excited about it this morning that I'm wearing short boots for the first time since March, even though it's still going to get up into the 80's today. I missed my fall attire!
Bossman confirmed my performance bonus approval this morning and I'll be getting that check in a couple of weeks. I was very happy about the amount and their willingness to give a bonus to a new employee so quickly. They must want to keep be around.
Congrats, OrangePixyStix! Sounds like the new job is a million times better than your old one - so glad they appreciate you there!
Oh, man, it is SO much better. I mean, it still has it's own set of stresses and irritating moments, but it's like a different set of stresses than the last place, which just became a toxic environment overall.
I actually feel like I make a difference here, and that people are supportive of success and not discouraging like place I left.

Almost everyone I work with at Old Navy owns those pixie pants and loves them. I have terribly short legs, so neither length hits me at a very flattering point. They are seriously comfy though and I'm jealous because they probably look great!
I am finally starting to feel better after some freaky flu type bug I caught. I had the flu years ago in college, and this was about 80% of that. I was achy, hot, cold, feverish, coughing, and fatigued. I am back to work today, but it kind of ruined our weekend. I was healthy at least for Jerry's birthday and our overnighter at the inn.

I wanted to try them since they are on sale, but I am so in love with the rockstar fit that I don't want to change.

This is where I'm at. Love my rock stars!
Rock stars are actually the only style I wear from my store. And I have a ton! The Pixies are worth trying though, because they are different to me in that you can make them a dressier pant, as well as more casual.

Good to know. I wore my camp rockstars yesterday, and my students went crazy. They wear real camo, but they still liked my fancy pants.
