Model image from our listing, my house is the mirrored version on a finished basement with a 2 car garage on basement level (garage entry is on the the end you see on the left). I consider it to be a modified rambler or modified ranch house.

My mom always says our house reminds her of Washington's HQ in Valley Forge (I live a few minutes from the park). So... Attachment Deleted If you take off the addition on the left. Turn the stone to clay colored aluminum vinyl siding. Get rid of the window above the door and give it black shutters and a red door. You have my house. It looks exactly like Washington's HQ...lol.

I'm so jealous of all your pretty houses! Mine is a 1970's style split foyer, so not the prettiest house on the outside, that's for sure. This is from 3 years ago. It's changed some, like the front door is different and landscaping is different.
No clue what the style is officially called, brick traditional maybe? Our agent called it the five four and a door (for five windows up top, four on the 1st floor and the front door). lol.
a couple years ago getting a new roof and having a yard sale. I have no idea what to call this house. They have stained glass and built-ins, but otherwise seem too plain to call craftsman.
We have what I guess could be best described as a Victorian cottage. The house next door is a sister house to ours, and there are a few more scattered through our town.

We call those 4-squares.
Thanks, wikipedia confirms. It says they have a dormer, which all my neighbors houses do. Don't know why ours doesn't.

there are loads of them around here, I think half of my friends own one (as do my parents). But they don't all have dormers. Is your third floor accessible/usable space? My parents have two rooms on the third floor and without the dormers they wouldn't be very useful
I call it a Victorian Farmhouse, since that's what it was listed as when we bought. Farmhouse for sure, Victorian for the details on the porches but it does not have all of the details or floor plan of a normal Victorian. I'd also call mrs.jacinthe's house a victorian farmhouse.
all of my pics were during the reno - so photos are without shingles, shutters, screening the porch, etc. Some form of construction. We were an early 70s ranch to now a 1.5 story - i am not sure what you'd call it
Well of course I do. We have only been here two years so far (and for the first 3 months I had a broken foot...) but I will throw up another post with some of the before and afters. Thanks
