My house is 114yrs old but I have medium tone wood shaker style cabinets (put in about 10yrs ago). I've have white appliances (by choice, I've replaced most of them & prefer white) & am getting a white quartz counters in a couple weeks. For the backsplash I'm thinking of echoing the fireplace in the living room. The fireplace surround is original and it's turquoise glazed brick. My DR is also turquoise (peacock blue) & while none are open to one another I thought it'd be cool to have a similar element in each. So I'm seriously thinking of doing a turquoise subway tile (glass or glazed) backsplash in the kitchen.
Also I need new floors in the kitchen/eat in area & paint color in there & foyer (again DR is peacock blue, LR is griege color)? Any ideas? Mainly I have original oak floors throughout the house that are cool (1 piece of wood running length of room in most cases) but in not great shape.

I like turquoise and think you should go for it. I like a lighter turquoise better, but how bright is your fireplace surround?
I think this color looks good with white counters/appliances.
As for floors, I would try to do oak in the kitchen/foyer if you have that elsewhere, but I understand that is pretty spendy, so is that in your budget to match the rest of the house?
I think it would be beautiful in your kitchen. As the previous posters have said, I like the lighter subway tile or the varied turquoise tiled looks posted.
I think you'll have to be really careful about the turquoises going together, especially if you can see them at the same time from any point. But if done carefully it would look great (I say without seeing PIPs). Using a tile with variation in the shade would help you do that, I think, and be more forgiving.
I tend to go for less WOW turquoises, but I've pinned a bunch of kitchens that have blue/green tile backsplashes:
<-- this one is probably my favorite. I love the warmth of the wood.

That is a bold color! I'm not that daring..... But if you are... Go for it! I just worry that you may get tied of it over time. I like some of the tiles that others posted.

I remember seeing a picture of your dining room and really liking it and that you use color in your house. So I can definitely see going with turquoise tiles. I do like some of the ones others have posted in the thread and I think it's color variation that makes it more interesting. Glazes or glass tiles that have some depth and/or varied shades sounds really appealing with the neutral kitchen your described. I would keep wood floors if possible. Otherwise cork or linoleum (not vinyl).
I like the tile around your fireplace a lot better than the color of the tile you posted in your original link. I also like the idea of the tiles with some variation like munkii posted. I feel like something with a deep, bold color would be too much. But again, that is personal preference.
