We haven't had actual constipation issues yet, but we've been doing purees and chunks of plum. I figured it's the same thing at least. Hopefully I'm not totally off base, and drying the plums so that they're prunes doesn't change much.
A prune is a dried plum. Fun Fact: supporters of the plum industry are trying really hard to get prunes rebranded as "dried plums" for marketing and appealing to the younger crowd purposes.
I just buy the bag of sunsweet ones. We also have a plum tree in the yard I made puree out of.
Not all dried fruit as added sugar either. I buy it fairly often and it's just dried. Check labels.
I have been using ground flax seed in the girl's food and it has been working to keep them regular. You can sprinkle it on or in pretty much anything. It is also full of Omega 3 so it's super healthy.
