How is the selection on Netflix streaming? I cancelled Netflix over a year ago and just use the Redbox when I want a movie. I'm realizing now though that I'm really just SOL if/when I want to watch a season of a TV show.
I know the last time I had Netflix and streamed through my Wii I wasn't impressed with the selection. Has it gotten any better?
Any other suggestions besides Netflix? I'd like to stream through my PS3.

thanks, guess I'll save my money.
Does anybody know if there's a limit to the amount of systems you can have stream per account? Like if my SIL has a 3 disc/month membership and streams to her computer and her Wii, would she be able to share her info with me and allow me to register my PS3 for the occasional stream?

Yes.
I have lost count of how many devices we use our netflix streaming account. My sister and my parents use on ipads and computers and we have it on our xbox, ps3, wii and a blu-ray player.

This is why when they separated the streaming and discs into two separate services, we just got rid of the streaming and kept the discs coming in the mail. With the discs, we have a selection of almost everything from movies to tv shows to documentaries. With the streaming, there was a very poor selection and it got frustrating, so it was a very easy decision to drop it.
The selection isn't great. I've searched for countless popular movies that they don't have but they'll have some obscure movie that I've been wanting to watch (like the zombie movie Fido).
We have it because there's only basic cable in the living room. The 2 teenagers in the house love it because it has a lot of their shows (Pretty Little Liars, Teen Wolf, etc)
We streamed last year through our wii. Selection was horrible; we canceled.
Went to BIL's house and they stream through their PS3. Selection was different and awesome.
Swiched back to wii streaming, and I will be honest and say the selection is better than last year's. But, I think it's different per device.
It's all online so the selection doesn't change per device. You probably just saw different things at their house because it suggests movies and shows based off of what you've already watched and rated. Since they watched different shows then it suggested different material, but you can use the search function to look for the same things.
Sometimes I love Netflix and other times I'm just "meh" about it. As PPs have said, the movie selection is still bad on Instant Streaming. They have some great tv shows but you often have to wait a long time for new seasons. The good documentary selection is what has me keeping it for now, but I've almost exhausted my options and I'm starting to get bored again. I'm hoping they'll get another influx of documentaries or random shows I haven't seen.
We don't have cable so we just find and watch all the new episodes of shows online either on network websites or elsewhere.
We really only have it for my DD. They have tons of great kids shows. Adult stuff, not so much. I'm not a huge TV watcher though beyond a few dramas, so it doesn't surprise me they don't have anything I'm into that way. DH loves it for King of the Hill.

I have found enough TV shows to fill a lengthy instant queue. I'm going to be living alone for the next 8 months with a FI out of town and crappy cable, so I'm hoping it well entertain me a lot. Movies are hit or miss. If you want current movies only forget about it.

It's actually just the opposite, I want TV shows, I get recent movies from the Redbox. I just want to be able to sit around and watch Downtown Abbey or Friday Night Lights.

Both of those shows are on Netflix streaming so you're in luck!

Netflix has downtown abbey season one... Hulu plus has season 2. Love the show! I am happy with the two services and no cable. I can watch everything I want pretty much
