I have a screamer too. She sometimes startles me, the cat, probably the neighbors lol! I find that she does it more when she's getting tired- she'll get slaphappy and just start screaming her head off. I hope it's just a phase
My friend's daughter discovered the ability to screech happily on a 7 hour drive. Their poor son then started with "Mom! Make her STOP! She's bugging me!"

Nothing. Blush and mutter sorry while trying to duck down another aisle. I try to talk to him really soft and tell him we use inside voices, but, yeah, he doesn't get it. So I give him a graham cracker.
It's a phase. She wants to show off and practice what she just learned.
We went through a deep evil laugh/babble stage. OMG, the looks we got.
Blow in her face. She'll hold her breath, thus = no screaming.
ETA. DS use to do this. He sounded like a pterodactyl. Good news it didnt last too long.
omg!! we called the the "pteordactyl screech of joy" when L did it!
lasted about 2 months intermittently. we'd just laugh and move on. she did it more when she was doing something really physical (like swinging or crawling or whatever), so we'd give her smaller toys and things to suck on to distract her.
