Well boo. We are done with diapers but I get a bunch of stuff on S&S because of starting with the diapers so log ago. The 20% made some things cheaper than the grocery store and I didn't have to even think about when I needed a replenishment.

Does Amazon secretly own Costco? Because they sure are going out of their way to make me ditch my prime membership and buy everything at Costco instead. Between the increased membership price, constantly dropping S&S items, moving things to Amazon Pantry, and now this, it just doesn't seem worth the cost any more.

I agree! I don't think I will renew prime this year. I just use it for shipping and discounts, so I don't care about whatever streaming programs they add.
I'll need to add up whether the savings is still worth it. But avoiding the last minute errand does help, although we have Google shopping express in our area so maybe that would help.

I have yet to use the S&S, because I always found better deals elsewhere on diapers. But I hate the stupid Amazon Pantry stuff, where I have to buy the shipping box...what's the point of Prime then?

What is Google Shopping Express?

It's a relatively new program where they work with stores in a local area and can deliver items to your doorstep, often same day. I got a pie plate the day before Thanksgiving last year--didn't realize we didn't have one since I'd been living abroad for the three prior thanksgivings.

I did not renew this past May after having Prime for 3 years. I have been fine! I decided just to try it out. You can still do subscribe and save and I just make sure I have 35 dollars worth of stuff before I order. Xmas may be hard...
This gives me another reason to be happy to be almost done with formula. Since the girls had to have the premie stuff S&S with the 20% discount saved me a ton over buying in store once we stopped getting formula checks. It am considering dropping prime niow though.

I'm convinced this is true. Costco is the #1 reason I didn't renew Prime last week. Closely followed by price and the other things you listed.

What's Amazon Pantry? I've never even heard of that, and I buy a ton on Amazon.
I didn't realize Amazon Mom was still at 20% -- we just have regular Prime, and we've been at 5% or 15% for five or more for awhile now. Sucks that it's less than it used to be, but most things still work out to be a good deal for us.
