How do I go about it? DD will be one very soon. She sips WCM but won't drink much. She eats a metric ton of regular food, though. I SAH. How do I start? I'm going on a 10 day vacation when she's 13 months and (I guess?) need to be weaned as much as possible then. I won't be pumping on the vacation.

I've been adding WCM to his bottles for daycare, a little in each bottle everyday. I've been told to start offering bottles at meal times instead of in addition to a meal. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Have you dropped any nursing sessions? I was nursing around 4-5 times a day (morning, lunch, dinner, bedtime, sometimes MOTN) and I just tried to drop one and replace with WCM every few days starting with dinner, then lunch, wakeup, bedtime, then finally MOTN. It was actually easier than I expected considering she had been a bottle refuser. I think I took about a month to do this, but she nursed for the last time a few days after her birthday.

I dropped one nursing session a week for 5-6 weeks, and gradually changed the ratio of BM to WM in his sippies at the same time. It worked really well, but DS barely protested dropping the nursing so I think I just got lucky. Stopping that gradually meant no issues for my boobs either; I plan to do it this way again with DS2.

Well, not officially dropped. Sometimes we replace the 11am or sometimes the after nap (3ish) with food. But not milk, if that makes sense. She'll eat an insaaaaane amount of food but has never drunk a cup of milk. We aren't consistent.
Also- she does not take a bottle. She does happily drink water from a sippy. She's skeptical of milk from the sippy.
Have you tried a straw cup? B was a bottle refuser and this is all she will use. And it definitely took some time to get her used to it, probably a week or two. And we tried to have my H give it to her thinking that might be easier, but she actually took it better from me which was surprising. I think maybe because she was used to having some designated cuddle time with me at those points in the day.

I just nursed my almost 14 month old for the last time ever tonight.
Up until Friday, I was mixing breast milk into her WCM sippy cups at daycare. We were down to nursing just before bed. I am leaving tomorrow for 2 weeks, so H will be doing bedtime with just books.
DD2 just started being okay with WCM about a week ago. She just spit it our for the first month and then I bought some berry goat's milk kefir and mixed it in, it was sweet enough that she liked it. After we went through a bottle of that, she was more open to WCM and now drinks it most of the time. She's a big eater too, so that helps
