This is a great idea. I'm currently reading this book and I am thinking about carving out more time to read more professional subjects to keep myself sharp in my career.

Oh great idea. I need to start reading during my downtime again instead of re-watching FNL for the ten millionth time (sorry TamiTaylor!).
One year for Lent I made a commitment to read a book a week instead of giving something up. Some weeks were hard--I read FOTR in one week--but after it was over, I really missed looking forward to the next book on my list.
I picked up the newest Jeanette Walls book at the library this week with a similar ambition since I loved her first two. It's a seven day rental and I haven't started it, so..
I bought an Emily Giffin book yesterday when they were 1.99. I've a bunch of hers and they are quick reads. Hoping this one is too.
I've been trying to get into The Stonecutter for months now and I can't get past the first 10 pages. I need to try and read it during the day, rather than immediately before I fall asleep.
Good idea. I go in streaks where I'll read a couple of books in a week, then not touch anything for a month or two. I need to read more...I used to read so much! What happened? I feel dumber, LOL.
I used to read 75-100 books a year. I do the GoodReads challenge annually. Since having a kid I barely get 15 books a year. I think I average one book a month. I just finished The Scarlett Letter last night. And I don't know what I want to start next! I've been on a classics binge because most were free downloads I've had on my Kindle for awhile.
Is anyone reading anything good? I really love all genres. I was thinking of starting Outlander but I'm not in the mood for a series right now. I haven't read any science fiction in awhile...

I love to read. I'd be game for this if I didn't fall asleep every time I crack open a book (I try to read a chapter a night, and it usually ends up being two pages, lol).

Not science fiction at all, but I just read Americanah and it is one of the best books I've read in a long time.
For people looking for non-fiction The Warmth of Other Suns is excellent.

Read tunnel in the sky by Robert Heinlein. Classic science fiction. Delightful. I reread it at least once a year.
