They have all the initials available which is nice and they are not velvet. (I can't touch velvet!)
Now that I think about it I need to go back and look at them in store and see if they are different material or structured somehow on the inside. I could see the material getying stretched out if they are not.
@bunnybean and browneyedgirl9 how long have you had them? Have they held up well? My parents still have (and USE) the stocking from when I was a kid, I want to do the same. So they need to last a lifetime!

I got some cute ones at Kirkland's. We decided not to do matching ones--we picked out our own based on what matched our living room and our own styles.
We've been using cheapie Target stockings because I wanted to wait until our family was complete to invest in nice ones, and not risk having them be unavailable for the last kid. But ya know what, this year I'm doing it. Who knows when/if I'll need to buy a matching one, and if I have to buy a new set, it's not the end of the world.
I found a seller on etsy who knits the same pattern that my whole family has (my great-gma knit them for everyone, but she died before the latest generations started.) But the etsy lady charges 88 freaking dollars per stocking!

I got this one for DS' first Christmas last year! I wanted to wait until we were 'done' having babies before I bought a full matching set. I could see the set being discontinued between kids.
I'll see if I can easily find it in the basement. If my memory is correct, there's a lining inside which held it's shape. I think the cable knit was just outside for show. I may have over bought (for the at the time, 8 week old, lol) and it wouldn't stretch to hold everything.

I just fell down the Christmas stocking rabbit hole. why did I not think about matching stocking sooner? I love that shit. I really like those ones from Kohls posted above.

Thanks! I had put off buying a set until we were done too. My H and I have a matching set with an initial pin and DD has a different but coordinating stocking but they don't make her initial pin or it is an initial that doesn't look good in script.
I feel like buying a full set of Christmas stockings is admitting we are done having babies. It's a little sad!

We have these, but without the initial. I was planning on getting them embroidered but then MH made nameplates for them with his jigsaw. I love these stockings!
