Today is Day 8 for me! (This is the 9/29 check-in, right?)
My weekend was good. I managed not to drink any alcohol which was a major feat since there was a wine festival, lots of football, and a 40th bday party that all happened this weekend. Also avoided the food and cake at the party by eating before I went. Did lots of grocery shopping and have a meal plan to take me through next Saturday! I haven't slipped up yet at all, so I'm really proud of myself. I've literally never eaten this well for this long, so it's a big deal to me.
Day 15. I had a good weekend. Followed the plan well and got in a workout.
I'm wearing my wedding and engagement ring together for the first time in about a year. My fingers were too chubby for a long time.
I know we aren't supposed to weigh ourselves. But I do anyway. It helps me stay on track. I'm kind I bummed bc the first week I lost 5 pounds but my second week I only lost 1 pound. I wasn't expecting another huge loss but was hoping to see a little more weigh come off. Hoping to continue in the right direction this week.

Day 20.
My weekend was fine, but (CONFESSION TIME) I purposely broke my Whole30 at lunch today. I was going out with my mom and sister to a place that I knew was not going to be compliant, and I decided just to enjoy it.. I had an awesome sandwich and some fries, but I didn't have any soda (I drank water), and I feel okay about it. I am going to extend my Whole30 into more like a Whole40 before I start a slow reintroduction, and I decided I am going to do the reintroduction one item at a time, as suggested. I am planning to do non-gluten grains, then dairy, then legumes, and finally gluten.
I am post whole30 but feel the need to check in. I had been doing pretty well with staying compliant most of the time and then having a few non-compliant "treats" on the weekends. However, this past weekend I went completely off the deep end. I was out of town for a wedding and ate out every meal from Friday to Sunday. I should have tried to make the best choices possible given my limited options, but I just said "screw it" and ate whatever looked good. I drank nothing but diet coke and beer all weekend, yikes. So I am completely paying the price now, my stomach felt awful all weekend, and my face is breaking out the worst it has in months.
So today, I was 100% whole30 compliant, both by eating only approved foods and following the meal planning template, no snacks. I am going to see how long I can keep it up for, I don't want this one bad weekend to erase all my hard work!
Mac we all have weekends like that. Not turning that weekend into a bad week or month is what's important. I hope you feel a lot better after a few days on plan.
