We still have the video monitor set up in DS1's room as well. I don't know the last time I turned on the video, but we use the sound still since we keep everyone's doors closed at night. He's 3.5.
we never have, if we had a video one I would still use it now with any of them- I always wish I could see what they are doing in there when they're supposed to be sleeping
We still use it at almost 3. He never gets out of bed, but he will stay up and play with his toys in bed once in a while. I like to check on him and make sure I don't have to take toys away so he will sleep.
My H and my Mom watch him on it ALL.THE.TIME, and do a play by play. My H said it's his favorite show. LOL!
DS never had one. We have one in DD's room, but don't use it at night only to check on her during the day if we're out in the backyard. I'm more a "try to sleep through the kids" mom than a "instantly responsive" mom. DS gets up and comes and finds us if he needs (sigh, if he wakes up) us. DD has her white noise on, plus we have a fan on in our room, and I still hear her.
Too long! We have a split bedroom ranch so we can't hear her in our room at all even if she's yelling.
For some reason she would not get out of bed on her own until she was four (which was nice in most ways) so if she had to go potty she'd yell and she'd call for us when she woke up in the morning.
She's five now and it's still in her room but we only turn it on if she's sick or was acting strange before bed. We had a Puke Incident last year where we heard her start throwing up and were able to get to her before it got too bad.
We only had an audio monitor. Stopped using it for DD1 when she was 3. Stopped using it for DD2 when she was 2.5 and stopped usin it for DS about 4-5 months ago (he will be 3 in November). The first times we stopped using it because we needed it for a new baby. Last time we stopped using it not long after he was out of the crib because he can just leave his room if he needs something.
Still use a video monitor for 3 year old dd and a sound one for 6.5 year old ds. They sleep with their doors closed so it is hard to hear without them.
Still use it at 3. We actually don't use it in dd2's room since we can hear her from our room at night. When we finish the playroom in the basement I plan to get an additional camera so that I can see what they're doing.
We still use one for naps with DD3 - she's 2.5. At night I just leave my door open to hear her. I feel like I've used the monitor for about 6.5 straight years, though, lol.
we still use one with DS2. He'll be 3 in January. He's not in a crib anymore, but we close his door for bedtime/nap and he can't open it. So the monitor lets us know when he's up

With DD1, we stopped around 2 because we could hear her and her room is right next to ours. For DD2, we're still using it (almost 2), but she's further away and we close our doors. I also can't hear her downstairs. We'll probably keep it until she's out of the crib.
We used it with Our oldest until about 2 months ago so just shy of 5 years. We had it on for our youngest so I just never stopped using it with him. We spent 2.5 weeks at my parents house and I realized if he needed me he would just come and get me. Our youngest is 26 months old and we still use and probably won't stop anytime soon unless it breaks.

Used one for my older child until she was about 5, but we had bedrooms on separate floors back then. We're now in a different house with all the bedrooms on the same floor; I still use a monitor for 2 year old DS.
We still have the audio monitor on DD1 (she turned 4 in July), and it's actually still necessary. When something goes wrong in the night she tends to just cry in her room rather than come get us (I think she is too disoriented to come to our room? We have told her it's OK but she doesn't do it) so we need to hear her. She actually wet the bed just last night and that is how we knew.

My older girls share a room and we still use the video monitor. They are 4.5 and 3. They have a habit of crawling in bed with each other to play when they're supposed to be sleeping so we like to shut that down when we can.
We stopped using it around the time he turn 2. He could open doors and come find us if there was an issue. I would use it occasionally if we went in the backyard or in the basement after he was asleep.
