When dd was younger than one month, she had some ready-to-feed formula with no problems. I started supplementing 2 weeks ago. Similac Advanced sometimes causes a rash where the nipple touches her face. It goes away in 30 min to one hour. She won't take Enfamil for supplementation because she doesn't like the taste and screams. I breastfed her all weekend and the supply seemed like enough but she was super fussy and clingy. It's like she's a totally different baby. Maybe she wasn't getting enough? What else can I do? Any other brands we can try? I have a few ounces in my freezer stash and am struggling to get 8 oz pumped a day at work.
I am actually allergic to DHA. It gives me horrible cystic acne. DD's oatmeal cereal has dha and she has had no negative effects with it.
Gassy, constipation, and generally just miserable miserable little humans. We tried a bunch of formulas for DD2...all the Similac and Enfamil ones with protein broken down (and $$$ and tasted like crap), Similac sensitive, etc. We switched to this one and never had any problems. DD3 we started on this one but this time used their DHA formula (it is new, didn't have it for DD2) and she was miserable too (same gassy, constipation etc) until we switched to DHA free.
I can't see how old your DD is but I will give you one warning. Both DDs SCREAMED the first time they pooped on it. Hard little poop balls...not at all what I expected. But that sorted out after a day or so. I was scared shitless so I wanted to warn you in case you try it.
GL! I know how hard BF issues can be, especially when supplementing doesn't go as smoothly as you would like!

Any chance she's just teething or hitting another growth spurt, missy? It's probably a little too early to try WCM, but will she take more solids to help offset your falling milk supply? Cheese is a huge hit w/J, lots of fat & calories there.

I hope you can find a formula she likes.
She is probably teething (I can never tell until I see white). We're still doing purees since she is not crawling yet. I am scared to give her finger foods! When did you guys start real foods?

I started giving chunky purees pretty earlier (~6 mos) and soft things like avocado, banana, etc. Is she sitting up? Maybe try a little cheese or banana cut into sticks? J didn't start liking food w/texture until almost 7 months, even then he wasn't that into food. He's gotten really into it in the past couple weeks, and he particularly likes feeding himself (which is a mess, but it's nice b/c I can eat while he feeds himself
It can be nerve wracking to give the baby non purees, but I figure you have to do it some time. J has gagged and coughed out food a few times (no recently). But he's learned how to chew and feed himself better with each meal.
He needs to work on the pincer grasp - he generlaly uses his whole fist to bring food to his mouth. Once there he tries to suck it out of his hand (lovely!).

Does he have teeth? O has 4-5 teeth and can bite chunks from larger pieces so I am afraid she's going to choke on those. I need to do more research on this. It would be nice if my child napped or slept before 1 am.

@missy1 he has 1 tooth that popped up about 2 weeks ago. Are you afraid she'll bite off pieces and not chew? She'll probably still gum the food in the back of the mouth like other little ones. Maybe see how she handles really soft stuff like banana, or some lunch meat or a piece of shredded chicken.
I'm sorry she's not sleeping better too. I can't imagine how hard that would be.
