just kidding. i only get one trick or treater (my bff's 3yo) so i've always had one age appropriate treat... which is usually a giant bag of goldfish. lol.
We do this too- with the coupon Costco usually has, it's cheaper than 3 pieces of smaller candy. I did the math because I'm nerdy like that. And we have a ton of ToT-ers.
The week of Hallween I tell my husband, "go get Halloween candy and make sure you get enough." No matter how much he buys, we run out before it's over. We get chocolate things.
A mix of chocolate, twizzlers, etc. We live in the only development within 15 miles in all directions so we get a ton of kids. It's a little strange to see all the cars parked on the street from different states. Our neighbors warned us when we first moved in that we need to stock up on candy.
Oh, and we do have the kids go out and then pass out their goodies too. Mostly the peanut stuff since we have allergies.

My 8 year old self loves you both. Actually, so does my adult self. We pass out chocolate with Twix, Reese Cups, etc. This year, we will add a nut-free bowl of goodies. Thanks to this board.
The good chocolate. I remember one year my H chocolate shamed me because I got some other stuff, lol. I think he prefers the leftovers. Last year was the first year we had very few ToT's.
We have never had a trick or treater every year we stock up on candy that H likes and then every year I make him bring the entire bag to work. I'm thinking I might make cupcakes this year in case we do get a TOTer and then he can bring them to work
Sometimes we cheap out and get the big variety bags from Costco. Other times we get mini twix or Reese's. Last year I had some goldfish for the younger set.
We get tons and tons of kids. I'm thinking something a little healthier this year. Freeze dried apples from costco maybe? Skinny pop bags? Is that too wet blanket? ?
The candy that Kirklette gets from school. She winds up having four Halloween parties over the course of two days. Hell no, she doesn't need that much sugar.
We do the same thing. Also supplement with some random chocolate. Already bought some sort of Hershey bars and Twix for this year.
BTW, who gives out Smarties (the chalky candy)? Who actually likes Smarties? YUCK.

Chocolate of some sort. We never get ToTers but the neighborhood kids are getting older so maybe they will come this year? Our driveway is a long ass bitch so we have to make it worth it.
We did chips last year - the "healthy" assortment back with the baked versions of everything and pretzels. Most chocolate candy is not MSPI friendly and I'm certainly not handing out Ghiradelli 72% cacao squares.
