I think you mentioned that you rarely go out to eat, like maybe once or twice a month. Do you ever get tired of eating every meal at home? It's not the food itself that gets old to me because we can cook just about anything, but I already miss the social aspect of dining out with family & friends.

You know, I don't. For a few reasons. My H and I both have food allergies and so eating out can be stressful for both of us. Having to be that annoying person asking a million questions to every waiter we meet is tiresome. We spend a LOT of money on food we cook at home. If we go out for the sake of going out, we're spending even MORE money on food that week. During the week, we definitely don't have time to go out. On weekends, we like to be homebodies. If we go out during the week, it throws off the rest of the week for lunches and our cook-ahead method.
Also, if it's a family member's birthday or whatever, of course we go out. And we do go out at least once a month for a date. But we almost never on a Tuesday say "Want X?" It just doesn't happen.
I think I'd get flamed for this on ML But I like my life.

I do agree that it messes with the rest of the week's schedule if we go out unplanned in the middle of the week. But I hate missing out on Sunday lunch out with my family or group dinners with my friends. I guess I'll just have to find a balance that works. For W30, I'm just completely avoiding them since I'd rather not stress about finding on-plan foods.
I've been on the Whole 30 plan for 6.5 hours now. I had tea this morning instead of my coffee (because I like it with half and half). The thing I'm craving the most is gum. I'm a huge gum chewer (both because I really like it and it helps me to concentrate).
Day 17. I had monkey salad at 6:30 this morning. It's now 12:30 and I'm just now feeling hungry. I'm shocked. I didn't think it would be that filling. Must be the fat.
I'm retaining water today. My e ring no longer fits with my wedding band. So I know I ate something yesterday that effected me. I had homemade sauce with compliant chicken sausage over spaghetti squash. I'm guessing it was the salt from the sausage.
Can someone share their favorite compliant meatloaf recipe? I'm meal planning for visitors the second weekend in October and want to make something really delicious and healthy. One of our guests recently had bariatric surgery so he's one a very restrictive diet as well.

Sooooooo...I am officially a drop-out. I am not EATING ALL THE FOODS, but non-compliant foods have snuck back in. I have learned a lot about my relationship with food though and have seen some lasting changes that I can make. I will probably lurk around here still...thanks for all the encouragement!

Day 1. My first Whole 30 although I've been eating paleo/primal for over 3 years. My eating has slipped recently and I figured a Whole 30 would clean it up.
