I feel like Rhys sleeps a lot. I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering if this is normal for his age. (I can't remember from D) Basically he eats and sleeps. He has some awake time but always less than an hour at a time. Well, occasionally it's an hour.
He always wants to be held or worn so then he sleeps because he's so cuddled and comfy. He's not really happy just hanging out (in a swing/bouncer) for long so I hold him a lot.
Also I'm sucking at tummy time- are you guys doing it??
He has been up a lot the past two nights- like every 1.5-2.5 hours. Sleeps longer in bed with me but I'm trying really hard (and failing) at not starting that habit..
I felt like a slept a lot until this week. Now she can be awake for an hour or 2. We alternate between being held her floor gym or even the pack n play. We keep the pack n play downstairs and it has a little bar we attach toys to. I also put a little light up crib toy in that she really likes to look at. She's not a big swing/ bouncy fan. Some times she wakes up and eat and is up other times she eats and goes right back to sleep. Like today she was up at 630 played until 830 started fussing fell asleep we had to go to mil house today since the city is doing some work and we have no water. She woke up at 9 ate played and then back again at 10 while we were out doing errands. She just ate and is asleep on the couch.
We do tummy time on the floor or boppy for 5-10 mins here and there throughout the day But she also likes to be upright and gets a lot of tummy time on my chest throughout the day
She still eats every two hours (start of feed to start of feed) almost like clock work. She almost always starts getting fussy/tired after she's been awake an hour. Since she is still kind of slow eating, sometimes her play time is very short. She needs to be bounced or rocked to sleep for naps and rarely sleeps more than 30-45 minutes at a time regardless if she's in the swing or I'm wearing her. We do tummy time for as long as she will tolerate (1-5 minutes) two to three times a day.
Charlie's awake a lot, but she's also grumpy a lot. She does like looking around and playing with Sadie, though.
Still, she sleeps a lot if I wear her. She's actually taking a nap on my back right now. She won't really nap unless she's attached to a person, though.
We kind of suck at tummy time, too. She gets a lot of pseudo-tummy time, though, in carriers.
She won't sleep laying down unless I'm right there with her and she can use my boob as a pillow.
A does sleep a lot, much more than G ever did. In the mornings, he often wakes to nurse, then goes right back to sleep. In the afternoons, he will nurse, stay awake for a bit, then want to nurse back to sleep. In the evenings he's usually awake for too long and gets pissed off, but will often settle when I lie down next to him in bed. I don't mind the bed-sharing habit since we all sleep best that way. He (knock on wood) actually sleeps pretty well at night right now. I'm hesitant to say it out loud after G who still doesn't often STTN. But he's been waking 1-2x between 9pm and 5am, nursing, then going right back to sleep which I'm really thankful for.
A is a lot less grumpy than newborn G was. He mainly gets grumpy when he's awake for too long (generally more than an hour) and even then can be consoled. She screamed every night for at least an hour for over a month and would only slow down, rarely stop even when held/bounced/shushed/etc. He's more mellow and especially can usually be calmed by letting him watch her.
You basically described Dean in your post. There is one stretch in the middle of the night (1-4am) where he will not sleep. Just this week I have been putting him in our bed because I just couldn't take the lack of sleep anymore. I'm not really opposed to it though.
I'm trying to do tummy time as much as possible, but like the rest of you its in intervals of 1-5 minutes or on me. I'm lucky if I get more than 10 minutes of actual tummy time (throughout the day on the actual floor).
He does a lot of catnaps during the day. He normally has one longer nap in the morning around 6 or in the evening around 4 or so.
Oh yeah -- I kinda forgot about tummy time. I should get on that. He's in a carrier a decent amount but rarely spends time on his tummy on the floor.
And his longest nap always seems to conflict with daycare pickup. He falls asleep 4ish and I hate to wake him up. Right as I really have to wake him around 5:30, he wakes up and wants to nurse. So then we get to daycare later than I intend yet again.
I know we did very little tummy time until somewhat recently like maybe a month ago? Maybe more? Before he just cried the whole time so I didn't bother doing it much. Now he likes it because he can push himself up and see things. I usually just set him on the floor and leave him there until he starts to cry which used to be ten seconds and now can be ten minutes or more
I can't even remember and Ruby is only 6 months old. Wtf is with the mom amnesia?
I can barely remember what happened yesterday
Yup. Earlier this week someone was asking something about 3rd tri. Not only can I not remember a few months back when I was a 3rd tri pregnant, but I can't remember who was asking or what they asked from just days ago!

I laughed at this because its exactly what's happening over here too. I mean, all of it I could have written, but the bold especially made me chuckle because I hate bed sharing!
