What do you normally make? Particularly if you are only feeding yourself.
I'm not the cook, so I don't see ingredients and meal very well. I've got a tv dinner calling my name but that won't help my diet. And the nearby sushi hut is starting to know my name, and that's just awkward.
Cheese & crackers. Maybe salami and olives if we have them.
This, or cereal.
I rarely cook a meal for just myself, but if I'm going to, it would be something like putting a chicken breast or piece of fish in the oven, cooking a sweet potato in the microwave in cold weather, or in summer, making a super simple chopped salad consisting of one tomato, one green pepper, and one cucumber.
I try to eat low-ish carb at home, so it's rare we have bread in the house. When we do, then a grilled cheese or sandwich.
But my absolute favorite I'm-All-Alone meal is to cook up a bit of pasta, and toss it in olive oil, tons of parmesan, and salt & pepper. If we have pine nuts, then I put those in there too. It's amazing.
Sauteed spinach/ olive oil and an over-hard egg on a piece of bread. My favorite. Easy, one pan, quick, yummy, and we always have the ingredients available. Or spinach salad with craisins and a frozen breaded chicken strip (cooked in the microwave) cut up. I actually bring this for lunch fairly often, too.
salad (the bag kind) sandwich of some kind quesadilla sometimes with chicken if we have left overs left overs breakfast for dinner (including but not limited to): - egg and cheese (and potatoes if we have it) burrito - scrambled eggs and toast - fried egg and cheese sandwich - cereal ice cream things H doesn't like
Dude. The sandwich place next to my office remembered me... over a YEAR after I had last been there (since I moved and began working remotely). Awkward!
This week I've been doing that. - Spaghetti with half a jar of leftover sauce, whatever cheese I had and some frozen onion and pepper strips. - grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches with cut up rutabega oven fries - breakfast nachos (eggs, onion and pepper, cheese, salsa, plain greek yogurt)
