stuffing. but...i love MY stuffing. i don't like boxed stuff, and i don't like most extras people like to add. i like a basic bread, peas, carrots, celery, and turkey drippings stuffing.
I have never heard of peas or carrots in stuffing. XD
I love stuffing, ours is bread, butter, Thanksgiving herbs, turkey drippings, celery, and onions. Done.
Our sides vary year to year cause I use Thanksgiving to experiment. A few years back I made a bacon and honey brussel sprouts dish that was amazing. I've done risotto with shaved white truffles, the year I won a gram of white truffles from Marx Foods -- that was amazing.
Consistently we have corn bread, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce. Everything else varies. This is the first year I am not cooking for Thanksgiving as my mom moved to Seattle. Usually we host 20-30 people.
i would eat this. it's when they start adding apples, cranberries, nuts and seeds that it gets weird.

The honey and bacon Brussel sprouts sounds so good. But I just don't know if I'm really making them right. I guess I need to try someone else's and compare.
And the risotto OMG that must be amazing.
I think I'm going to try my own stuffing this year.
I make crazy stuffing with cornbread, sausage, apples, onions and celery. I love it though, way better than the stuffing we had growing up. Besides that we always have canned cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, honey yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, homemade green bean casserole (without any canned stuff), cheesecake, and pie (usually apple or pumpkin... or both).
I always do turkey, pan gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and apple pie. Well, I don't bake pies but I try to talk DH into it since his apple pies are awesome.
My stuffing is a doctored version of the box stuff. I mix in sausage, celery, onion, herbs (mostly sage) along with the mix.
