Well, this makes me feel moderately better about my raging amazon addiction. I dont know what i would do if they were on the other side of this issue. I would have to start shopping again in actual stores. The horror!

Right? I'm become too spoiled by regular deliveries of TP straight to my front door.
Did you see that Amazon is paying college tuition for their employees now? I think they are doing a lot better on the workers' rights thing.
I'm happy they've agreed to start collecting sales tax in 2014, but they are advertising positions here for their warehouses paying $11/hr.
So as a taxpayer, I'm subsidizing their warehouse's and their employees make so little their kids qualify for Tenncare.
But is that really all that different than other companies? I live in the land of Tyson and Walmart and I know their employees don't really make a living wage either.

i generally don't have a problem with the state giving incentives to employers who pay a living wage like Nissan, GM, Jackson Life, etc but I do have a problem with the state paying to attract low-wage jobs.
