Has anyone read this? I just finished this and it was much much darker than I expected. I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot. It really gave me a perspective on fame that I don't think I had before when I think about celebs going off the deep end (Lindsay Lohan, Brittany Spears). It really makes it pretty plausible how the fame machine can cause someone with borderline mental/family issues to completely lose it. It certainly made me much more sympathetic. Clearly, the characters could have responded better - Aaron to the challenges his new life presented to him and Kelsey to that crazy situation with the social worker - but you can definitely see how it happens without the person being a complete derelict as we often assume our celebrities to be.
