OK @this I am now looking at your diagrams on my laptop. On the app, the photos are rotated...I was having a really hard time figuring out how you feed babies and have sex while suspended in the air. NOW IT MAKES SENSE.
Quite frankly of this whole scenario I find suspension to be the EASIEST part to wrap my head around.
Was it on here or the other board where a couple would have sex with the baby right next to them on the bed, and she (the mom) said the motion rocked/soothed the baby? Either way, I now have a new "standard" for sex around babies.
Noooooo...
FTR I'm with @starry. I try to be all "you do you" and humor is my defensive mechanism when I'm uncomfortable (hence paperclips), but I'm pearl clutching both feeding a baby while having sex and having sex with a 1yo in a crib in the same room. Just... why?
An awake 1 yo in a crib or a sleeping 1 yo? I would never have sex while bfing or in front of an awake 1 yo, but a soundly sleeping 1 yo in a dark room? Eh, not such a big deal to me (that said, my kids were in their own rooms by that age, so I never did it, but it doesn't make me clutch my pearls).
I feel like there are some interesting extremes going on in this thread. Sex while holding or feeding, in front of, or otherwise somehow involving your kids weirds me out. But, frankly, fear of having sex while older kids are awake elsewhere in the house because they might knock on the door and might recall having done so as adults and might somehow deduce from that that "omg, my parents had sex!" seems overly prudish to me, and perhaps not the healthiest attitude toward sex. DH and I can both recall times as children when we realize our parents had, in retrospect, been having sex, and neither of us are at all bothered by the knowledge that they did so. Conversely, we are very grateful not to have been in the room having a snack at the time.
I missed this thread the first time around. I can't say I'm glad it came back up, but wow. And thank you for the paperclips bc I did not see how that was possible...

Whew, good thing you didn't put that on the internet cinnamoncox! Now your kids that "had no idea, none," can find out when they're 13 and be approriately traumatized!
I am so glad I finally got around to opening this thread. Thank you, @this. I laughed so hard I think I somehow snorted my lunch up my nose, but thank you.
I feel like I either am doing sex wrong or my few attempts at nursing were wrong.
I just keep trying to imagine how I would make this work. At that age I had to hold the girls in place and tandem nursing was complicated. No way I could have managed sex unless I wasn't an active participant.
