I have failed at making paleo mayo now three times in a row. The oil isn't cheap. I left out all the ingrediants over night so I know it's at room temp and I'm pouring the oil in painfully slow. The first time I made it I used the whisk attachment on my immersion blender but it took so long to make the mayo that is over heated. So now I'm trying to make it in my kitchen aid mixer but it just keeps turning out soupy. I'm following the Whole 30 recipe to the T. What am I doing wrong!?
Hmmm. I just made some last night. I used my cuisinart. I also continue to blend after I pour in all of the oil. I also find it does thicken up a bit more, once you put it in the fridge.
Yea I did that last week and this week made a creamy balsamic dressing. So not a waste. But I really wanted egg salad this week. Maybe it's the oil I'm using. I'll try a different brand.
Yep. That's what I've been using. The first time I made it, it was perfect. It was really thick like store bought. Since them I've made it 4 times and it has turned out soupy. Not sure why.
I finally made it!! I think I was using the wrong shape container to make I. It was too wide at the bottom before. I also bought a different brand of oil. So easy!!
