Did anyone else watch this last night? What did you think? I was on Fox to watch Bob's Burgers (blah), The Simpsons (left it on for background noise while I did dishes), and Family Guy (pretty funny), so I decided to give it a chance.

I was prepared to HATE this show based on the super-lame commercial teasers that've been running for weeks ... but it wasn't completely bad. I got a few chuckles here and there. I'm willing to give it another try next week.

John Mulaney's delivery bothers me ... he's very wooden. I know he's a comedian, not an actor, but his voice is so choppy when he's reciting his lines.

It seems pretty clear that this is just going to be a complete ripoff of Seinfeld. I didn't like that Nasim Pedrad is just going to play a crazy ex-girlfriend; Motif was dull and stereotypical; Andre is going to be really annoying (he's pretty much just another Newman from Seinfeld); and I didn't love the Elliot Gould character. Martin Short was pretty funny but I can see him getting annoying VERY quick.

I love him and his standup. I can't believe I missed the premiere

I was excited to try it out but it didn't come together for me. It's too bad. They have a really talented cast.

I got through about 10 minutes of the premiere and had to stop. Just couldn't deal with it. Then again, I hated Seinfeld, so maybe that's the problem. I think Martin Short can be so good, but you have to be careful with him and they weren't.
