We had just been setting the camera on the corner of the rail of Z's crib. Over the past month or so he discovered what it was and started knocking it off of the rail, most of the time onto the floor but a couple of times he pulled it into his crib. Over the weekend we lowered the crib mattress and I figured that since he doesn't yet stand in his crib and the cord is tucked behind the corer bar out of sight it would be fine and stay there. Nope, during his morning nap he pulled it down.
Right now it is sitting on a box of diapers next to his bed with packing tape over it so he can't push it over.
How is your older baby/young toddler's video monitor set up so they don't play with it?

Well, right now because she is not mobile, its on the edge of her crib, but hopefully soon, it will be mounted to the wall next to her crib, out of reach. Our monitor came with a kit to do that.
Mounted to the wall, up just below the ceiling, pointed down on the crib. We also have the wire attached to the wall so that it doesn't dangle down to where he can reach it.
Yep, this is our set up too. I didn't want to drill into the wall so I just used the 3M velcro stuff to mount the camera to the wall and then the 3M cord things for the cord to go down to the outlet. Works great!
