You can include yourself if you had to go on bedrest.
I'm 28 weeks now and told work I would work until 36 weeks. I've modified my schedule a little to do the less physically intensive shifts for the duration but I've wondered if I'm really going to be able to handle working that long.
And I ran into a colleague today who hadn't seen me in a couple of weeks in all my glory and she looked at me and said she'd be surprised if I made it another month, lol.
I work a desk job, with a 45-minute commute each way. I worked full time up until 37w4d, which was a Thursday. I was supposed to have a scheduled C-section the following Tuesday, but ended up with pre-E and had an emergency C on Friday. Four years later and I'm STILL bitter over losing my long weekend off before delivery, LOL!
I still have a few weeks to go but I'm 32+4 now and am working until 36 weeks. That's when my leave starts. For some reason lately I've been fine but I have had days where it sucks to sit. Luckily I have a short commute but I sit all day. I try to just get up often and usually take the long route to get water a couple times a day. I also make sure to relax when I get home and so far I'm fine.
I don't mind if the babies come early (after 36 weeks) but I am hoping for at least a couple relaxing days at home. With my luck they'll come the first day of leave!
When I had to sit for long periods, I would take a fleece pullover I kept at my desk and roll it into a tube. I'd tuck it between my belly and my legs, and that seemed to help!
I'm a teacher and was planning on working until around 32-34 weeks, but I ended up having my boys at 29 weeks. I had them on Christmas, so I took a week off after Christmas break was over which was about 3 weeks total recovery. I went back to work and then took my maternity once my guys came home from the NICU. When I came back to work after having them, my coworker told me she wasn't surprised to hear I delivered early. Gee thanks!! Haha.

I worked until 36 weeks at a desk job, but the only reason I took off was because I had vacation I was going to lose. I delivered at 38 weeks, 1 day via scheduled c section.

I was whining to my boss and she said I could work from home if I needed to. I am 24 weeks now, and figure I will go into the office a few days a week until sometime in November. I still have like 11 vacation days to use before the year ends too. I will probably work up until I deliver. Unless something makes work from home too difficult. Thankfully I have a sweet STD plan on top of paid maternity leave so quitting work early won't cut into my time off after.
I worked until 31 weeks. I had a stressful and horrible inside sales job and I wanted to leave at the end of the month, which makes the most sense with that kind of job. And that fell right around 31 weeks. I physically could have gone longer but I was extremely happy to quit. I ended up having my babies at 36 weeks 3 days.
I worked until I delivered at 36w4d. That said, I did have pre term labor at 32w6d and was in the hospital for a week at that point and didn't work. I then went home and continued working from home until I delivered.
I have a very flexible job and work from home frequently and definitely did so a lot during both of my pregnancies.
Thanks y'all. I work in a hospital and I think part of my issue is that with my job there's walking from different units and standing and occasionally I have to "hustle" if it's busy.
I try to sit as much as I can and not do unnecessary walking if possible but it's starting to get a little rough.

I think if you have a job that isn't a desk job then it's a little different. I could barely walk at the end and I know I couldn't have been working a job where I didn't sit all day.

Hustle...lol. I don't even try crossing the streets to my office building when the cross walk sign is blinking. There is no hustle left in my step.
There was no way to work from home at my job at the time so I worked until the Dr. said I couldn't anymore. I ended up on bedrest at 26 weeks for preterm labor and that was it. Kids were born just one day shy of 30 weeks.
I was put on bed rest at 26.5 weeks and wasn't even allowed to work from home. The doctors wanted me laying down on my left side as much as possible. I was really annoyed because I had been trying to get my job to approve working from home for 4 weeks and when I came in to tell them I had to go out they said "oh... We just got the approval for you to WFH.". It was a long 10 weeks of bed rest but I would think I had died and gone to heaven if a doctor told me now I had to take a week to relax and do nothing and have my husband take care of me
I had planned on working until 38 weeks, but I was so tired at the end that even if I hadn't been on bed rest I don't know how I would have handled working full time, and I work a desk job. Play it by ear.

I worked until 30 weeks, which was my doctor's cut-off for a multiple pregnancy. I could have worked longer (as in, I didn't need to be on bed rest or had any complications) but once I was on mat leave, I was very happy to have to be able to slow down. As the pregnancy progresses, just running around doing errands is more taxing on the body than you'd think when you're carrying more than one. Removing work from the equation is a huge help.
Plus, nine weeks off of work before the babies came was freaking awesome

I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet a lot. My dr put me on modified bed rest at 28 weeks because I was having frequent BH contractions. Modified bed rest was kind of nice. Couldn't work or do housework but didn't have to stay in bed. I would kill for a week of that now!!

I have a desk job and an hour each way commute. I was hospitalized a few days at 32 weeks and then told work from home was fine but no commuting. I worked at home until I delivered at 34w3d. (Water broke.)
29w with triplets anf my ob was more than happy to write me out. Office job and I usually worked from home the second half of the day so I could sit in the recliner with my feet up. My boss is super flexible though. I would have probably stuck it out longer if I didn't have such a far walk from the parking garage to my office tower and it was over 100 degrees everyday...don't be pg during the summer in TX!

I'm in Texas too and I'm so glad that it's finally starting to cool down as I've gotten bigger. It makes it marginally more tolerable.
I was about 32 weeks when the school year ended and my doctor said it was good timing because she would have taken me out anyway as I was starting to dialate.
Small update: I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and I'm going to work one more week and then stop since I don't have a desk option. I'm having a lot of contractions and my cervix is softening and my doctor thought was fingertip open.
The question remains whether my STD policy will pay out or not. I'll let y'all know.
