My H and I are watching this. It's kind of weird how it's such a frame-by-frame remake of Broadchurch. Including David Tennant reprising his role. Anyone else watching? Thoughts?

We watched the first episode. I cannot stand how weak a character the female lead is. DT's character is such an ass, too. I adore DT and will keep watching for that reason, but so far we are meh.

I really liked the first episode, so I binge watched the entire season of Broadchurch the week before episode two. Fail.

I am losing interest. I loved Broadchurch but it isn't as interesting when you know what is going to happen

Hmm never seen Broadchurch. H and I said we were going to check it out after Gracepoint is over, but if it's basically the exact same show, we won't bother.

I am liking Gracepoint. I love Anna Gunn and she's why I initially looked into the show. I like that her character is standing up for herself more against the other detective (I forget the character's name).

I think I would love it also if I hadn't seen Broadchurch first. There is no variance so far.

I haven't seen Broadchurch, so I don't have that to compare it to. I'm liking the show so far, but I don't like that David Tennant doesn't look very sexy. Boo!!

I haven't seen Broadchurch either. I'm finding this show just ok. I'm not hooked.

Was Broadchurch on the BBC?

Yep, BBC America. I heard it is frame for frame identical to broadchurch the first 6 episodes or so.

We liked Broadchurch, but as soon as we saw the trailer for this one was identical we decided it wouldn't be worth watching. I'm glad to hear that it's exactly the same, actually, I don't feel like I'm missing anything (except Tennant with an American accent, which is not nearly as sexy as his real accent).

IMO it's a pretty poor American accent. lol
