I think it's irresponsible, and kind of sad. I'm all for enjoying things and having a drink --- but I feel that a kid's event, and one that you need to drive a child home from, isn't the time.
My husband has been sober for 9+ years... I still drink - he doesn't mind at all - but I just don't do it often, and I am saddened when I see people doing it in situations that it's just not "normal"... makes me think they have a problem - either a drinking problem, or a problem enjoying the regular things in life. Sorry- probably not the answer you wanted to hear.
Go dry for the game, and if you must, get a drink at dinner after the game.
This is what I ended up doing. I've had a monster migraine for daaaays (Thanks AF) and I've taken all my meds. I thought a drink might relax me and thank god it did. It's socially acceptable here to drink at games which I've always thought was a little weird so I wanted other opinions.

I hate baseball, but DH loves it. The ball fields are within walking distance of my house. I can not imagine getting though the little league years with out a few drinks...
