We're in the UK on an island and it's work + cash to get out of the UK.
All relative though, right? We can get to Spain by early afternoon with good connections and with no jet lag. Couldn't do that when we were living on the west coast of Canada.

Like everyone else has said, welcome and where in Germany are you at? I'm also in Germany, near Geilenkirchen, my husband is in the military and we just got posted here in July.
