I love October - my wedding anniversary and my birthday are this month! Best ever!
Today is not too exciting - working, and then off to teach Zumba, then hopefully meeting a friend for coffee. So glad it's almost the weekend!
QOTD: We're traveling to Berlin before Xmas for my BFF's wedding, and then we'll be in Doha for Christmas. The hotels all do fancy bubbly brunches, so we'll be doing that on Xmas Day :-) Otherwise, we'll watch Xmas movies and bake cookies and just try to make Doha feel slightly more Christmas-y :-)
Been a quiet couple days here. DH is away for work (back tonight) and my eldest has had the Norovirus that is going around. He was fine by morning yesterday but needs to stay off school until tomorrow. I may sneak him to the gym with me this morning and put him the corner with a sticker book...
I'm due in 5 weeks with #3 and keep thinking about our plans to go home for two weeks in the spring. I am already dreading it.
I think we may start going back every other year. It's a shame because we get free flights once a year through DH's work - but I find the travel with the kids really exhausting for all of us and even with two weeks we are constantly rushing around to see all the family.
Plus, it's not a vacation. DH was saying we could always take the flights home but vacation from there.. Mexico... California... I like that idea.
QOTD: We're staying at home because we'll have a newborn. My sister is coming over (YEAH!!!) and I'll be ordering most of the meal premade by Marks & Spencer's so we can all relax. The new one will be anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks old so it will be very chill.
Good morning! today is my day off, so I'm still hanging out in my bathrobe and it is almost 10am I need to get up and get going soon if I'm going to make it to the market today. But the little monster is napping, so I'm enjoying my tea and lounging about.
QOTD: I think we will stay home for Christmas, but be going to the ILs the weekend after for a family thing. we are hoping to do a bigger winter travel in early march so that i can learn to ski!!!

Good morning!
Today was a pretty good day. I had all my work for the day done before 10:30 am, expect for making & cleaning up dinner. I felt so accomplished. I was up and out by 7:30, went to the post office, the newsagent, the grocery, came home and put away the shopping, did a load of laundry and got it hung to dry, put away yesterday's load, and straightened the house. I rewarding my industriousness by spending the rest of the day curled up with a book or two.
QOTD: No real plans for Christmas. We'll celebrate with DH's parents, but we're headed to the US on New Year's Eve followed by a 2-week Caribbean cruise, so that's our big celebration. We'll celebrate with my parents on the cruise, which will also include celebrations of my 5th Anniversary and my older brother's 20th.
Morning! Not much here. DS and I took a quick trip to the US for my sister's wedding last month. It was fun but I am so glad to have the traveling part done. No plans to leave the country for the next 8-9 months. I know I'll get homesick, but I'm relishing in the relaxation of no big trips for awhile. I even indulged and bought DS a goldfish (the only pet we can handle at this stage!). He's really into the "Dissss" as he calls it.
MIL might come down for Christmas, which would be good for her and for DH's brothers who usually have to entertain her over the holidays. But I'm secretly hoping she backs out and doesn't come. Having my MIL in our tiny apartment for 3 weeks is not my idea of a good time. Especially since I only work part-time, so I'm home a lot.

Morning!
We've been the sick house the last fifty bajillion weeks (really only 2-ish, but who is counting?). DS has croup. DD has a bad cold and fever on and off. I got a maybe uti, started meds to treat it and had an allergic reaction. So now my face is swollen and I feel sunburned on my entire upper torso. Which sucks because there is no sun and it is freezing out. I've been considering going outside topless to get some relief lol. Off to the doctor at 4 for walk in hours to make sure it's actually a uti and not something worse and get new non-itchy meds.
On the exciting front we should hear back from the bank very soon about our house loan. We got an email saying we'd hear Tuesday when the papers would be ready to sign, but couldn't get in touch with the lady at the bank. Fingers crossed for today being celebration day.
QOTD: we're going to be in our new home for Christmas! There is lots of celebrating in Iceland for Christmas so it should be really fun. My friend/the kids' godfather is coming to stay with us for Christmas! I'm so excited. I'm homesick so it'll be great to have him with us. Lots of new traditions to start here and I'm looking forward to it
orriskitten that sounds awful! I hope you all feel better soon! Good luck with the house buying! A new home for Christmas will be a great start for your new traditions
How is everyone? What is new and exciting? I might have found an apartment, going to see it again one more time tonight. I'll be glad when this hunt is over, but for some reason I'm not completely jazzed about this place.
What's on the agenda for today? Work, revisit the apartment tonight, then hopefully dinner with UnderProtest.
QOTD: Any plans for Xmas? Will you travel? Stay home? Definitely going home to Boston for Christmas.
I am planning a trip to Boston in January. Any under the radar places I need to check out? I have never been and love finding places that are awesome, but not too touristy. Thanks!
