Did anyone else feel like they had an insatiable appetite in the first trimester? I'm 6 weeks 3days and I feel like a bottomless pit. Cravings so far are mostly meat and cheese. I'm wondering when/if this is going to change. If you had morning sickness, when did it start?

i ate pretty regularly through my first trimester, like hourly snacks through my waking hours. Whatever sounded good. It helped keep my nausea at bay! So that was a bonus.

I had nausea but never got sick. I think partially because I snacked a lot. I was hungry a lot and if I let myself get too hungry, I felt worse. I suggest eating healthy snacks as long as you can! It will hopefully help if m/s really kicks in for you!
I ate a LOT. Unfortunately, what I wanted most were sweet carbs.
Same here. And fried foods. Unfortunately it's still the same at 38w. No wonder I've gained more weight with this pg, whereas I was sick with DS until around 22w.
Yes. Hunger was much stronger for me than nausea. I got so hungry for carbs within 30 minutes of waking up every day, which is really unusual for me. I always had to keep a snack on me just in case I was away from food for too long. It eased off toward the end of the first trimester.

Yes! I was really worried I was in track to gain a ton since I couldn't stop eating! I was not like that with my dd, now at 12 weeks I feel normal again as far as appetite! Weeks 6-10 we're the worst

With DD1 I was starving ALL the time. The whole first tri all I did was eat, sleep and go to work. I would have 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and then we'd usually end up getting take out or going to a restaurant (like Chili's) for dinner because I would fall asleep the second I got home from work and wouldn't bother cooking anything. By the 2nd tri I was pretty much back to 'normal' eating & sleeping, then the hunger returned (but not as voraciously) in the 3rd tri. I never had so much as a queasy feeling at any point in that 42 weeks of pregnancy.
With DD2 I had a head cold the entire first tri. I basically had to remind myself to eat, and was chugging water like a fish. I don't know if my stomach was queasy from being pregnant or from the 10 weeks of post nasal drip, but I felt crappy. I also was tired but couldn't sleep. The 2nd tri I felt better, less snotty, a little hungrier but still couldn't sleep well. The 3rd tri my head cold came back and brought the post nasal drip with it. So again, queasy - but what caused it? Who knows. Could only nap on the couch, couldn't get more than 2 hrs rest at a time in bed. No *real* morning sickness though.
I was constantly hungry, and I was also puking a lot from weeks 6- about 18. So my first tri was a lovely rotation of eat, puke, sleep and so on and so forth. Eat what you can when you are hungry- you're growing a person!
I ate a lot during first tri. I didn't really have morning sickness, but if I got hungry, I felt nauseous. I craved carbs, but tried to limit myself. I ate a lot of trail mix, cheese, yogurt, and other healthy high protein snacks. I'm still eating the same stuff now in third tri actually.

I remember feeling good my 6th week. Around 7th I started to recognize that I would feel a bit ill if I got hungry. Now in my 9th week I hate all food and am nauseous unless I force feed myself something literally every 90 minutes. I make it to 2 hours if I'm lucky. This goes on all day, not just mornings. Things have definitely intensified this week and I'm really looking forward to the second tri.

I only felt sick during the first trimester if I stopped eating. So I mostly didn't stop eating. I gained more weight than I should have, but oh well. At first I craved fruit, and then meat. I was told to listen to my cravings as long as they were reasonably healthy, and especially if they were meat or other protein. As my midwife puts it, "you should be eating protein like you are a body builder... because you are!"
No, I ate much less than usual first trimester. But I am very overweight, so maybe my body was trying to be helpful for once;)
I think the hunger started around 16 weeks and I'm not quite to bottomless pit yet.
This was me as well. Morning sickness started around 6 weeks and I really had no big desire to eat but knew I had to, in order to feel less nauseous and for the babies.
There are days here and there that I've been really really hungry but overall I just haven't been too hungry through most of the pregnancy.
