He's doing all of his practicals between today and mid October. Then he goes off to Cali for what is basicily the final test. If you do great that week you get your own store. Some managers who have gone in the past have gone straight from CA corporate center to their new store in their new city. They get a flight home to say goodbye and pick up belongings and then right back. (the awesome thing is the company moves you so there is zero packing involved). On the other hand, some managers go and never get an offer after that and remain in their current stores. This isn't the end of the world, they still make fantastic money at that level. But for H he wouldn't be satisfied to stop trying to be the best he can be, which is to run his own store, which means we are likely going to be moving, maybe before the end of the year. I have to get my mind in the right place and be supportive of him and not say what I really feel which is "I don't wannnnaaaa move". Our house is not our dream home, by any means, and it still needs a lot of work, but it's all cosmetic now. We fixed the meat and bones and have it the way we want it. I love Amelia's room and all the little things we've done. I don't want to go back to apartment life. We will rent for a year before we buy wherever we go so we can get to know the area first. I guess we can rent a house but its just... I'm just nervous and I can't complain to H about it anymore because he's working so hard, he needs me to support him not make it harder on him. So I'll vent and worry here. Thanks in advance
When he made the transition from staff member to manager he had these choices. 1- I'm not willing to relocate, I'm happy where I am. 2- I'm willing to relocate anywhere within my state. 3- I'm willing to relocate to these 3 states, insert states here. And 4- I'm willing to relocate to any US location. At fist we said in FL. But that usually means Mia area and I'm not interested in living there at.all so we changed it to FL, NY and TN. Then decided not to limit his opportunities and pick everywhere. I'm sure most places have lots of good and bad. Except Miami. All bad. At least here when it's too hot to enjoy life we have some trails and shady places nearby. Miami is just hot and crowded.
