IDK but HALLOWEEN! so I'm game.
We will be the Teen Titans! BabyLiu is Robin, Boy Liu is Beast Boy, I will be Raven and H will be lazy Cyborg. BabyLiu has insisted that Little Girl (her Cabbage Patch doll) will be Starfire.

DD is going as Anna, this is the first year she actually picked, I showed her an array of 6 costumes and she chose Anna. I did it a few times and she went with Anna each time.
I have a Cinderella and an Aurora this year. 2014 has been the year of the Disney Princess at our house, but at least we won't be part of the Great Elsa Migration this year.

A King! I sewed a cape! And a BELT! And he made his own crown, which we need to "bedazzle" this weekend.
An old photo of the cape.
The belt is half of a sash from one of the dresses with red trim sewn on it. The crown is a 3" wide band of cardboard, painted yellow. He's gonna look awesome.

Abby is going to be Elsa and I'm going as Mr. Smee from Hook/Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Our department at work is doing a Hook/tribute to Robin Williams theme.

DD will be merida after I suggested she not be elsa this year. IN hindsight, I think she would have liked to be Raven from Teen Titans Go. But it is too late for that. I am sad I couldn't make her costume this year, but will do some rag curls overnight and then spray her hair red/orange for T or T.

Abigail will be Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Anna is going as a fairy, i.e., the provider of Izzy's pizie dust :-)
I am going to attempt to dress priate-y without spending money on a costume, DH may or may not be Jake, and my FIL has agreed to come along with us dressed as Mr. Smee.
I don't know what my husband and I are going to be. I'm thinking either ninja or R2D2 ballerina for me. My daughter hasn't decided and my son told me this morning he wants to be a minion with a fake knife stuck in his stomach??!?

I vote this. Because it would be awesome. So very awesome.

So far we have the following... Big Boy is Captain America, Middle Boy is Optimus Prime, and my littlest boy is going to be a "sidekick" according to both of the big boys... so maybe a Bumblebee-Bucky combination.
I wanted to do all family costumes, but the kids didn't want to participate. Maybe I'll still do that for a party one night. I think it would be funny to be Blondie, since I'm the only girl and kids dressed in 70's suits would be awesome.
I also wanted to go as Peter Pan, Captain Hook and our kids would be lost boys - or Star Wars as Chewbaca, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Lea, and the baby would be yoda, but that's too much work. I think something like Indiana Jones would be easier to do with our costumes/closets.
Shorti is going to be a lion. Cheap ass bought from a local nestie costume. We've been [brushing up on looking down and] working on her roar though. She LOVES to roar.
C will be the Red Power Ranger. He actually picked this out in August and still feels very strongly about this so I am impressed with his 4yr old sense of commitment. But I still feel like the other shoe will fall soon and we'll be in a panic looking for another costume a few days before trick or treat (or dealing with the meltdown, can't decide which would be worse).
The baby will either be a pumpkin or Tigger - because those are the costumes that were handed down to me and I'm cheap. She would make a super cute Pebbles, but it isn't warm enough for that kind of costume anyway.

DD2 is going as ... Elsa. Which is hilarious, because her name is Elsa. I told her, "But you're Elsa EVERY DAY!" Her response, "But I'm going to be QUEEN Elsa!" She is excited, though, because I told her we could do some sparkly makeup.
I'm going to AW DD1's costume, which I just finished yesterday. She is going to be a dragon -- but it's a very specific dragon that she made up, named King Toothy IV. DD1 said that King Toothy has rainbow scales, a pink "emperor scale" on his chest, and gold wings with silver flames. So this is the costume I made. It's a cape-y thing and I got her black leggings and hot-glued jewels and big sequins to them.
Sigh, I can't get the photos to flip. Oh, well, turn your heads. I'm going to make her a dragon mask out of felt for ToTing, and we'll do makeup for her dress-up day at school.

DD2 (6) was going to be cruella deville, but the costume has yet to arrive (ordered 3 weeks ago). So if it doesn't come, she wants to be a cowgirl. I really haven't found a kids costume that I like yet...
DD3 (4) is going to be the wicked witch of the west

She can't decide. Every time she makes a suggestion (Elsa, Scooby, Velma, Wonder Woman) I say "Awesome, we already have that costume!" And she tenses up and says "No wait! I meant... I want to be something else." So, she's trying to think of something that she doesn't already have a costume for, which- good luck kid.
Right now, her dress up stash takes up the entire clothes line.
Last year she was Snow White at school and the Doctor for TOT.
Tonight we are going to the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom and the kids are going as Peter Pan and Silvermist (water fairy). For TOTing and the trunk or treat at Scarlett's school, I think Jackson is going as Link from Zelda. Scarlett has said she wants to be Silvermist, a white cat (PBK), Elsa and like five other things. She has a lot of costumes though and I don't mind buying new ones if she picks something else because she wears costumes every day pretty much. She and Jackson both love dress up so costumes get a lot of use.
