DD and I "ran" a 5k yesterday. They didn't allow strollers so I figured we'd run and walk until she was done and put her on my shoulders or piggy back her to the end.
Mile 1 was great. She ran pretty much all of it
Mile 2 included a 15 minute stop to use the great porta potty that is the woods. She only potty trained fairly recently so this was a little stressful for her. She walked most of this mile with a few sprints thrown in.
Mile 3 included an area with a bunch of sticks by the side of the road and she needed to inspect pretty much all of them. Half a mile from the finish, she asked to go on my shoulders, and that's how I ran to the end.
She had a blast! I'm grateful there was no time cutoff.

This is so my DD! Sounds like a fun time though. Was your DD finisher 201 or did she beat you?
When we registered they said she was so young I didn't have to buy her a bib, and since she was on my shoulders at the end, we tied exactly (and beat one walker!)

That is so sweet. Love it!
I'm impressed she made it all the way to the last 1/2 mile before asking for a ride. But then again, she did start marathon training while in the womb.

Exactly! That kid is a Boston finisher! A 5k is no big deal to her.
