I'm a regular on ML. This is our first kid and I'm about 8 weeks along. My H had absent vasa (born with a vasectomy) , so we had to opt for an IVF and we are very lucky that it worked the first time!!
I had a question about headaches. I've been waking up with headaches almost everyday this last week. Did you have these? How did you deal with them?
I started getting headaches around 14 weeks. They've gotten better as time has gone on.
I took tylenol and started my day with a full caffeinated cup of tea. They didn't go away completely, but it did help some. Talk to your doctor if they are really bad.
Oh yes. I thought my head was going to explode a few times. It was horrible. I would take tylenol and a coke usually. I got them about 3-4 times per week. The good news is that they stopped around 15 weeks and haven't come back yet.
I had a few headaches early on and took Tylenol for them, and a couple weeks ago I also had headaches every day (I assume from our weather changing maybe?) and the doctor told me I could take Tylenol for them.
I was getting 3-4 headaches a week. I tried to keep my stomach full and usually drank a Coke or drink water. I think you can get headaches if you are even a little dehydrated. I tried really hard to not take any Tylenol, but I had to cave on that once or twice.

Welcome and congrats! Yes, headaches all the time, although it's not much different from before I was pregnant, lol. I take Tylenol, take a nap, keep hydrated, stay cool, pretty much whatever I can. I miss Excedrin though!
Welcome & congrats! I had headaches regularly for a while during first tri, and then they went away. All I did was drink a lot of water, and have some caffeine & tylenol when necessary. I hope the headaches don't last for too long for you!
Thank you ladies! I probably slacked a bit in drinking enough water. So I'll definitely up that. Might end up taking some tylenol after dinner though. Ugh.
My first thought was dehydration- actually the first symptom I noticed was that I was incredibly thirsty all day, no matter how much water I drank, and it always seemed worse in the morning. Other than that, Tylenol and a little caffeine might help.
I had a lot of headaches first tri. Tylenol (man, I miss Advil!), caffeine, and making sure I was getting enough water throughout the day seemed to help.
I agree with @astrid. Hydrate and eat before bed (or hell, In the MOTN!).
I haven't had headaches, but I hurt everywhere else. I hydrate like crazy and have had minimal swelling (i hear actually drinking water helps to minimize swelling).

My doctor suggested taking a magnesium supplement. 250-500mgs a day. Take it at night bc it can make you sleepy. It's also a stool softener so be careful jumping right to 500mgs. It helped me a lot taking 250mgs each night.
