For whatever reason I was always too nervous to post on the Boston board, so going to jump in with the first post.
I live in Bridgewater and work either in Fall River or Canton. I don't know nearly enough about things to do around here as I grew up in Florida.
The little guy is my sig will be 4 in August. My current quest is to find the best playground in driving distance so he stops asking to go to the one by my brother's in Brooklyn. Anyone have playground suggestions?
Hi There! I'm new to the Boston area as well. I live 20 mins north of the city in Wilmington but work in the city at one of the hospitals. Don't have kids yet, we're planning our April 2013 wedding now. Look forward to connecting with more people here.

Hey, I live north of the city too, in Beverly. I'll have been married 5 years in July and we're still kidlet free by choice, but will eventually get around to it

Yay! We have a new home *hugs forum* I guess I missed it on the list because I never scrolled past the baby section, heh. Thanks for posting the link over there, Rock. I hope it doesn't go missing. And hi everyone!

Hi! I didn't post much on TN board, but now seems like a good time to join. I live in West Roxbury, I am a SAHM, and my LO is a little more than 9 months old.
There's a playground in Sharon, a couple in Canton, and my favorite ever tot lot is in Westwood, but that's probably a hike for you.
So glad to see this board up and running!
Do you go to the Westwood one often? We should meet up there, I've never brought DS but the IL's live down the street and when we go to their house on the weekend it is so crowded. I usually only go to the one right by my house anyway.

Hello! I just noticed a Boston board! I never visited the one on the Nest, but I've been a frequent poster on Money Matters for a while. I loved the Boston board on the Knot, so I'm excited to have local people to talk to again!

I try to go once a month, if not more, when the weather is decent. And someone clued me in to Bubbling Brook for ice cream afterward. We should definitely GTG. It's been too long...

Another Bostonian here-- I'm in Metrowest (not one of the "W" towns, but close by). I didn't really post much on the old boards (I was just starting to a bit) but have been posting more here, mostly on the book club board. No kids of my own, but teach HS by day. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better soon!
Hi Redpoppy! What area of Florida did you grow up in? I just moved up here from the Orlando area in January. Was born and raised in FL. Welcome to the board!
We currently live in Roslindale (near West Roxbury). We love Kids Fun Stop in West Rox during the winter, and there's also a great playground on LaGrange St.

Bubbling Brook is SO close to me! There's also the Crescent Ridge dairy bar in Sharon that is better IMHO. Let's make a playdate!

You're on. And I want to try out the smoothie bar at Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon too. Any other moms want to come, let us know!

hi hi. I'm here. It's amazing how active this board has been compared to the old board (even before the stupid change that took 3 months to change back after everyone left).
I have a little girl who is almost 2. She's growing up way too fast. Life has been non-stop here for the past few weeks. Lots of events, family drama, and friend/family major medical things going on. I'm looking forward to health and down time ... school ends in 3 weeks ... maybe downtime will come then?
