DD is dressed up as the "Day of the Dead Fairy" and is currently going on minute 7 of a dance/vocal performance of her own creation. It's special. And DS is laying under the dining room table throwing a fit/rolling around pitifully. Why have I not poured wine yet?

What nutso business is going on at your house?
What a visual haha! Your Dd sounds awesome bonus points for working in day of the dead.
Right now my DS is running around like a maniac while letting out long loud farts followed by hysterical laughing. Yep, like father like son.
My kids are running around practicing their "ninja moves" accompanied by high pitched screeching. They say they're practicing for Halloween (DS2 is going to be a ninja) but I don't know where they got the idea that ninjas run around screeching.

You would think ninja play would guaranteed at least a few minutes of sneaky quietness...but maybe that's less fun.

Right? This has pretty much confirmed that my children are not capable of doing anything quietly.

DD was watching Frozen earlier. By watching I mean standing directly in front of the tv while belting out song after song while butchering the lyrics. At one point DS looks over at me and I swear he rolled his eyes.

I put the kids to bed at 6:40 and poured a drink.
This is my plan. They just finished dinner and we are headed for baths and bed ASAP. I stupidly told DH not to come home until after bedtime. I am regretting that decision.
Jack has come out of his room no less than 36 million times with different excuses. The most recent is that he accidentally splashed water on the wall behind the sink. Three days ago.
