Guys! Spike (my cat) jumped up on our bed tonight!! He has been staying downstairs for the last week and a half so this makes me so happy. He even was purring a little. I hope this means he will be back to normal!
We booked an all inclusive on hotwire. I was nervous because it was so much money but we did it. It looks amazing!
Ooh where's the AI tacocat? And hooray that Spike seems like he's feeling better! I hope this continues! And why are you still awake?
I'm feeling mostly better. Thanks for asking. The sinus pressure is gone, just a runny nose now.
Well, this is awesome. The UK and Norway are both pointing fingers at each other saying that the other country should reimburse me for my ring and whatnot. Obviously, no one is going to do the right thing and pay me the money for my lost ring. I'm about to go shank someone.
Leaving for Lisbon after work and I'm soooo ready for some sun.
So glad it's nothing serious with your foot larzhope!
spunbutterfly, I wanted to tell you that it's super courageous to do what you're doing. I'm so proud of you for doing what's best for you. Lots of vibes.
The school stuff went super well. We took jr into the classroom he will be in he was very nervous at first but eventually we got him into the classroom and he quickly bonded with a teacher wearing a Bronco's jersey. Today is his first full day, I have my fingers crossed that the morning goes well I am at work already and have meetings until lunchtime.
Hopefully I don't have to put out any fires at work today, it seems like that is all I have been doing for the last 2 weeks. I need to get some real work done.
Good luck to monsterz jr! I hope he enjoys his school and does really well!
@uwhuskygirl have fun this weekend! My dad just came back from a work trip to Lisbon and his photos made me want to go there so bad. It's just beautiful - the architecture, the ocean. Looks like a really fun spot for a weekend trip!
Back to work for me today, from home. Getting up at a responsible hour sucked, but it's nice to have something to do. I'm happy to not have to commute in this weather.
It's been a long week! I'm glad to have an office day and be going to lunch with friends today.
My personal life is a mess. I'm getting vibes from H that he might want to work things out. I don't think I can go there, but its still causing me some confusion. We dont have very good boundaries. And the other guy is in a weird holding pattern and he's acting like an immature idiot. I'd like to have fun & see what happens, but I'm losing patience with him.
PMS cranky and work is stupid and I just want to be home with hot chocolate and my purring kitty and the couch. When I suggested what tv we should watch with/after dinner (flame away, we don't like being adults most of the time and sitting at the table!), H said he wanted to watch what was in the blu-ray. Apparently he had spent all day at work wanting to be home with me and the cat on the couch being cozy so had picked up a movie <3 We watched Winter Soldier, which was much better than the first Capt.America movie. Scale this morning says I lost another pound, October weight loss goal hit!!
Thankfully work is slowing down a little, not much but a little. Last week was crazy. We went through an acquisition so it was a few late nights. It was weird telling people they had jobs instead of telling them they didn't. Such a difference from my last position ha.
A couple weeks ago I got news from the doctor that I have diabetes. Definitely a super weird surprise to me. Thanks genetics! I'm not overweight so it shouldn't be too hard to get under control. I'm on a few different meds and I picked up my meter yesterday. I'm not that big a fan of pricking my finger.

I made it to west Virginia. Took the red eye last night. Maybe got four hours of broken sleep. I feel like carp. Hopefully after a good night sleep tonight ill feel better. For now I'm watching pawn stars reruns while the guys go to get their tuxes
Aww that is a bummer fiddles. I fear that no matter what I do health wise, thanks to strong genetics I will also have diabetes. Are you having to take insulin shots?
Ran an errand this morning and now back home to chill a little and get some laundry done. H is taking the commuter car to emissions after work to see if it will pass this time, if not we have to figure out what we want to do for title transfer. blah such a mind suck that thing has been. H also told me I need to figure out what I want to do this weekend for my bday, but I have no clue. He lead me to believe he was planning stuff but apparently not

Thankfully no insulin shots. I'm Type 2 so I have meds I need to take and check my blood sugar daily.

God I am so bad at keeping up with the boards when I'm mobile! I feel like I missed something major with spunbutterfly. Is everything okay??
fiddles Sorry about your diagnosis, but glad to hear that treatment / maintenance should be easy-ish. Could you get one of those monitors that doesn't require pricking?
I'm semi-back to work next week! I have a part time schedule for the next two weeks that will allow me to ease into being away from C. My parents are coming up to babysit next week, and then she starts daycare the week after that. How is my baby 10 weeks old already?!!
