Any fun plans for the weekend?
Tomorrow we go back to DC and get checked in to our temp housing. We found out we can extend our stay there for the extra week and it's only $50/night so way cheaper than a hotel and no hassle of having to move midway. Our big issue now is what to do with our car for 2 weeks (I was hoping they'd have a garage at our temp housing but they don't). We can't get our residential permit yet because we don't have a lease or any other proof of residency yet...which we can't get until we get a lease. So looks like the car is going in a garage, expensive but still cheaper than if we were paying full rent in an apt.
I am not ready to go at all. We have stuff EVERYWHERE in my parents' house and now we have to try and figure out what we need for the 2 weeks until we come back and get all of stuff to move into our actual apt. I'm sure we'll survive if we forget stuff but man this is stressful. We also found out that the weekend we were planning to move/come to NJ and get everything, DH has to work 2 events so now he needs to talk to them about a way around that.
I'm so glad it's Friday...it's not even funny. DH had to have oral surgery yesterday. He's on antibiotics and pain meds. I feel bad for the guy. I took the night off to check on him and help him recover. Hoping to help him recover the weekend.
Weekend Plans: Tonight - Going to dinner with some girls. Tomorrow - Chores then watching some FOOTBALL!!! HoneySpider & tacocat We can be friends again on Monday.....right? Sunday: No church that morning. DH and I will sleep in and watch movies.

After work a few of the ladies from work and I are going to a pottery painting. They serve snacks and you can bring your own drinks, so while I might not have 4, I will defintely be trying one of the girls' homemade apple cider shots.
HoneySpider How often do you need the car during the two weeks? There are three metro stops that have long term (up to 2 week) parking. You only pay the 1 day rate on the day you exit. Also, if you happen to exit on a weekend, it is free. We have used this for multiple vacations. Look it up on the Metro Website, but the stops we have used are Franconia Springfield (Blue line) which has probably 14 long term spaces. And also Huntington (yellow line) which only has about 8 spaces and is harder to get into.
Today we are looking at a few more houses. The baby's night time sleeping has been a disaster, so I am bargaining to take it easy this weekend.
I've been trying to figure that out...I don't think I will need it, I think anywhere I have to go I can walk or take a bus. I'll definitely check into the metro parking option, thanks!

We are having a Halloween party at work today. People bring their kids in, and they trick-or-treat at all the offices/cubes. Some people decorate and dress up, it is so cute! Plus we get to stop working an hour early
I really need to start decluttering the guest room this weekend. blah.
The family, meaning, me, the baby, and my parents are having dinner on Saturday with my ex-brother-in-law and his wife. We have a odd family dynamic, he and my sister have 2 kids and on good terms so we all stayed friendly. They are both DM's for Wegman's in NY and they are up here to supervise the opening of a new store in some city, I can't remember which one, LOL.
HoneySpider Good Luck on everything with the move!
Just got off work for the day and don't work again until tomorrow evening. I have MAJOR cleaning of the apartment today/tomorrow since I've been away so much. I have to make a few baked goods and RELAX. Definitely catching up on all my TV shows.
Sunday same thing. Relax, tv, cleaning, and maybe a little photo editing & scrapbooking

This morning I took DS to the park with one of my mom's groups, then we went to Target for a few things. He's napping now and we'll do something outside when he gets up since it's so beautiful out. The ILs are watching DS tonight so DH and I have to figure out what we want to do. Prob will just go to dinner.
This weekend is supposed to be really nice, too, mid-60s and sunny. We're going to do "business trick-or-treating" tomorrow then maybe go to Six Flags since it's our last chance to go this year.
Sunday we're going to go to a big pumpkin patch. We already went to a little one, but want to be able to do some other activities there, esp. with the weather being so nice.
We are probably going to see St. Vincent and rake leaves. I also want to craigslist a few items.

I also have a doc appt tomorrow to hear the heartbeat because I couldn't find it on a home doppler. I only tried for two minutes, but I am still really nervous.

jjwritergirl I looked into the metro parking and it seems like a great option BUT you can only stay a max of 10 days and we need 12-13 Boo!! I am not sure if I want to go all the way out there to move the car to another location. IDK.
I am now considering parking at an airport park & ride, it's only $9 a day and no limit on # of days.
So glad it's Friday! This weekend my husband's family is coming into town and we are going to a football game to see his favorite team. We've also got to clean up the house, write thank you notes, and do laundry. Fun!
I'm super excited for this weekend! My BFF and I are going to a Halloween party on Saturday, and then my sister and I are going to one of those "paint a picture and drink" things.

Aw, I hope everything is ok! It can be really hard to find them with the at home doppler- I bet he's just hiding
Friday! Yay! I had a girls lunch with my BFF today at a winery. It was wonderful. Tonight I plan on watching old horror movies and probably fall asleep on the couch with all the lights on until DH gets home from work lol.
Saturday, as far as I know, we don't have plans except errands. DH may even take me to Panera Bread for lunch.
Sunday we are going to my sister's. My niece is moving in with her and I haven't seen my niece in a long time. I can't wait to see my mini me!
