My husband's friend just launched an app for parents. Its designed to find a list of kid-friendly events and activities near your location. Its new, and definitely still in early stage mode, but if it interests you, would you do me a favor and download it? The more users he has, the better content he will be able to source. Its called Kidly and we really want to see him get it off the ground!
Right now, the app shows me free kid activities at my local libraries, plus stuff at chains like Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble. Lots of fall-themed stuff
I downloaded it...and as I suspected, not much going on here. But we never have much going on for kids. I changed the location to the next closest city to me though and it found a lot more activities there!
I'm always looking for fun things to take the kids to that is close by so I'm excited about this app!
done! I'm interested to see if it picks up much for my area.
Do you mind sharing what state you're in? (its ok if you're not comfortable, I'm just curious).
H told me last night that when people download it, the content will get better in those areas once there are more users.
I'm in PA.
But middle of no where, basically. I'm not really sure there are a lot of kids things to do around here. We don't have Barnes and Nobles or Whole Foods or any museums. We do have a local library though! YAY! And it did pick up on a kids thing at Michael's tomorrow.
Might I make a suggestion? It'd be nice to be able to delete a specific store. I'm seeing a lot of Hobby Lobby and its a non starter for me, so it's just clutter. If I could hide all events from them, that would be awesome!
I would also want to delete Hobby Lobby, lol. I'll share the suggestion, but if anyone has any others, check out the FB page. He has a place to share feedback on there.
