New Here

Hello! I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I live on the east coast of Florida, but... close enough, right? My husband and I just got married almost 3 weeks ago, and I have been looking for a community with married women (or couples) to bond with over married life! We live in a house that I bought last year, and we have two adorable cats that are three years old. No major plans on the horizon for us now other than writing thank you notes and organizing the house to fit wedding gifts! We also have a lot of projects to do around the house like flooring and installing a dishwasher. Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hello! I recently left FL and live in NC now but still love my WCF girls. No one comes here any more though:(.
But anyway, congrats on the marriage and flooring is fun too. We spent a small fortune tile in our house shortly after our wedding and now our renters are enjoying it, but it's still nice for eventual resale value.

Thank you! Yes, we don't plan on being in this house forever, but some upgrades will make it more enjoyable while we're here, and hopefully increase the resale value!

Did something cause the death of this board? I also wondered why there aren't local boards for other regions.

Nothing really caused it besides I think just everybody getting busy.

I've been around here in some form or another since planning my 2007 wedding...the Knot, then the Nest, then everybody migrated over here and I followed. I was living in NYC during most of that time, I've only been in Jax for about a year. Have you been here long?

I joined the Knot in August 2013 when I got engaged, and joined the Nest after my wedding earlier this month. After seeing it was dead and reading a comment mentioning these forums a couple weeks ago, I joined here. I've lived in Jax my whole life and love it here!
