My mom had sent a group text to me and my sisters saying that my aunt's surgery had gone well. She had a breast reduction. I jokingly made a comment about how if I ever had extra money I would consider implants and I was jealous of boobs before.
My mom's response? She told me that if I ever do it then I should have them fix the bump on my nose as well.
I wasn't aware that I had a bump on my nose. But who the fuck says that to someone who is already self conscious about their appearance. Now I'm paranoid that other people feel the same way.
Dude, I have seen your pics. You are straight up gorgeous. Your nose is fine. Tell your mom she must have imagined your nose being big in a dream or something.

Whaaaat? Is your mom normally like this?
Do you think there's a reason she's sensitive about this particular issue? Maybe your aunt has had a lot of pain and she thought you were making light of it, as in she didn't really need the surgery.

My mom has made very similar comments to me. I have a wide bridge on an otherwise petite nose, and she's reminded me of it since I was very young. Sometimes the comments are more like, "You have a nose for wearing glasses. Too bad you don't need them! LOL!" Hilarious, Mom.

Anyway, weird! And mean!
No, unfortunately this is just how my mom is at times.

Aw, I'm sorry. My mom is so the same way. My sister and I kind of joke about it now when we see each other, but mom has ZERO filter and often says things like that.
That was an a-hole comment. A mother is never supposed to knock her kid down like that. Sh*tty.
This, 100%. I don't care what other people have to say about how I look, but the handful of critical things from my mom over the years have stuck with me.
I'm sorry that she said that. I don't know what you look like, but it doesn't matter. That was seriously uncool of your mom.
