I think Bill is riding this train to keep an eye on Edgington and, of course, take care of Bill. It's strange that Bill is the more political creature in the show and Eric is the emotional one, vs. the books. I don't at all believe Bill has had a religious experience. Eric needs to be a bit more savvy, but where Godric is involved he is a damn fool.
I would have been ok with the leap if I got a full frontal shot. DH was laughing at my commentary during that scene. When she was reaching down his back to grab his ass, i said "c'mon honey. get your hands on that. we all want to". i thought DH was gonna pee himself.
I thought Warlow (at first I thought Claudine said Waldo, which would have tied back into the Hadley storyline in the book) could be either Russell OR Bill, but that dialogue was PURE Russell. Or it could be another vamp altogether.
Who is your guess on the Dragon? The prevailing opinion on the web seems to be Maxine Fortenberry, but I don't think so. I think it's either Bud Dearborn or Mike the coroner. I do think it's a character we "know". if it ends up being some new character i'll be peeved as hell.

Russell has been known to love fairy blood, so it could be Russell. Or it could be a vampire we don't know.
Personally, the best part of the entire episode was the Elliott Smith song playing in the credits. Loved it. Which of course tied into the name of the episode, "Somebody that I used to know."
I think Bill is looking out for himself but is going along with everything so that he can keep an eye on the authority folks. From day one he was about true blood and assimilation, so I don't think he is really a sanguinista.
I am NOT happy with Bill. He could just be playing along since he seems to be quite the manipulative bastard.
I really like Godric as the voice of reason. I have all these theories about his life after burning in the sun and I would love for them to explain it more.
Lafayette KILLS me. LOL. She here for real. LOL
Sookie's plot has become interesting to me now. And can I say that I'm glad her storyline has nothing to do with Bill and Eric? It's nice to see them independently of each other.
I really liked this episode. Much more so than the others so far this season.
Bill and Eric- I think they are "in" on whatever it is that Bill is doing together. But I think they are playing off each other. Eric is making a big deal about not turning in order to make it more clear that Bill is 'one of them' so that they trust him.

H and I enjoyed this episode. Me a little more with all the man butt - Sam and ALCIDE! Yes please. :Y: :Y:
I too thought the vampire looked like Russell - chin and thin lips. But that would be too easy. Same with Luna/Sam sniffing out the woman in Hoyte's friends basement - first thought was Maxine - but seems too obvious. So glad Hoyte freed Jess, but I wonder who was in the truck with the gun...
Eric needs to go back being a badass. I like how Pam brought that snotty girl for Tara.
I'm still tired of the whole sanguinista storyline but at least it's starting to make a little more sense. Even H commented on how many different stories are going on.
LOVE Lafayette again. Giving attitude to Arlene and Holly. And I teared up when Jesus appeared in his car and they held hands.
I like pp ECB's thought of Eric and Bill playing good cop/bad cop to make it look like Bill really is with the sanguinista.
i am SO glad that the old lafayette is back! he was always my favorite character, but he just hasn't been the same the last couple of seasons. recently, he's been hilarious!
and i may or may not have kept the episode on the dvr just to re-watch alcide's sex scene again...

I don't know, AB doesn't seem very bait-and-switchy when it comes to this kind of stuff. A lot of people thought Salome being the traitor who freed Russell would be too obvious too.
Oh, what was Jason's line when Sookie fairy-zapped him on accident? "Don't worry, it was just my head!" Oh Jason. You're so pretty.

Maxine was my first thought. It might be too obvious, but she hates supes and we haven't seen her this season.
I have an inkling the vampire who killed Sookie's parents is Bill. He had Sookie as his personal stash during the time they were together... maybe he hunted her down over time after he found the band-aid, and was smart enough to restrain himself rather than drain her all at once. He's been mainstreaming for a long time, but I think that was the first time he encountered fairy blood, went nuts on the parents, then realized that he needed to find the source and keep her for his personal, long-term supply. That's my jumbled reasoning, anyway.

BOOK SPOILERS
* * * * * * * * * * * *
I read an article on-line that suggests that the Dragon is sweetie (i.e. the woman that Sheriff Dearborn was cheating on his wife with). In Dead as a Doornail, there is a character named sweetie who wants to kill shifters/wares becuase she was turned into one and is taking revenge.
