Hair question

I am not sure how to PIP. I want to see what you guys would think if I changed my hair color to a dark chocolate brown and maybe cut it shorter. The length is almost to my bottom maybe about 2-3 inches shorter. Would a dark color look good with my skin tone or maybe highlights? I will DD this later. TIA

Your hair is beautiful (as are you), I wouldn't cut it off! And if you color it I would do darker, not highlights IMO.

I tend to like darker hair on people. If you cut it, cut it longer than you think you want it. You can always go back and get it shorter if you still want it, but it takes a long time to get that length back! Although, I think it would look good shorter but not above like your collar bone.

Thank you I think girls/guys with dark hair and blue eyes are gorgeous. My hair has natural highlights when I am in the sun a lot, clearly I haven't been in the sun much

I like dark hair as well. That was my last choice in hair color. However, I really love your current color, especially for summer. With that said, I know what it's like to want a change so my vote is dark!

I really want to change the color but I am the worlds worst at keeping up with my hair when I color it. Maybe a rinse of some sort that will wash out after so long. Are those even made anymore?

A semi-permanent color is the way to go if you aren't good about keeping up with your color (I'm not either, no judgement from me!).

Your hair is beautiful. I would think about maybe getting cut to the bottom of your shoulder blades, with some long layers. As for color, do you plan to color it at home or a salon? If you go to a salon, I'd talk to the stylist about a rich chocolate brown. They should be able to determine the right tones to use to compliment your coloring.

Why not go more a chestnut? It's darker but not super dark and a bit easier to keep up with. Don't cut it, you really do have beautiful hair.

Thank you I will never do my hair at home again after my friend put highlights in and instead of streaks I had dots . I talked to P and he doesn't want me to change the color. Does semi permanent wash out eventually?

ETA: I just wanted to add that he isn't telling me not to, just that he likes my hair as is. I just want some change from long and blah, YKWIM?

Your hair is lovely! I'd go to a salon and tell them that you want a change your just not sure what to do. I tend to just let them do whatever they want honestly and have always liked it!

I can to say the same about color and cut. DON'T CUT IT! It's gorgeous the length it is. I think the color you have now is great but if you insist on coloring i'd make minimal changes and do a semi permanent. Less damage and less commitment.

If you have the color done at a salon ask for a "skin wash" its just a dye that washes out over time. I've had mine done that way a few times and its great and doesn't mess up my natural color or texture.
