Hi everyone! I post mainly on ML (and Geeks and Gamers of course!), and I'm sad to say that H and I will be getting a divorce. I'm sad because I'm losing my best friend, but I know in the long run it's for the best.
I am really looking forward to experiencing new things and opportunities.
Also looking forward to doing these things-
I'm totally going to have a Doctor Who themed bathroom in my new place. We were doing a gluten free house, so I will have ALL THE GLUTEN. Rub it on my face, pass it out as favors at parties, etc. Not feel guilty about doing absolutely nothing a good amount of the time. Come home and sit on my ass watching tv? Yes. Let the animals sleep on the bed with me. Also, starfishing on the bed all.the.time. Host GTGs.
It's going to be awesome. And I really appreciate my friends and family being very supportive, as well as my co-workers and bosses at my work.
Sometimes my emotions go all over the place, but for the most part, I am feeling positive. Sadly, this isn't my first divorce. :N:
Hi and welcome! I saw your posts on ML and I'm sorry to see you here. You seem to have a great attitude though. One word of advice--ride the roller coaster of emotions. Some days you're up, some days you're down, all of it is totally normal and embracing it will help you heal and move on. This board is super supportive and has a lot of new faces going through the process closer to your timeline. A lot of us have been here for a while (I've been divorced for 3 years) and are dating and some are even remarried. You'll find a lot of diversity but we've all been there at one point or another so big hugs
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Hello and sorry you find yourself here, but welcome. I felt similarly when I was divorcing - I was mostly sad to lose my best friend of 10+ years. There will be good days and bad days, but the ladies here are wonderful and supportive, and we are here for you!

I love your list. I agree with the others, it's such a roller coaster to go through and you will have sad times as well as really happy times. Good luck with everything and post on this board, they have helped me so much.

Let the animals sleep on the bed with me.
These are definitely two of the best things about my divorce! (Although my XH did make an exception to his stance against being lazy and binge-watching when it came to Doctor Who or BSG.)
I hope there continue to be more ups than downs! And I absolutely look forward to seeing pics of the bathroom!
Also, MauMau is that a Halloween costume for Mauer?! *dead*
Welcome, and sorry. You seem to have a good attitude, and since you've done this before, you kind of know what to expect. It does suck to lose a best friend. That is what I really struggled with at first. Who was I going to text random stupid thoughts to and what not...but other people fill that when you let them!
Welcome, BC. I felt similarly when XH and I split. You will definitely have ups and downs over the next few months. You both will. Hopefully the process will be amicable and easy for you both. Vent to us any time.

cuddlyevil OMG, a box full of gluteny goodness? That sounds amazing.
kevin arnold Dude, you and @stpete can totally come to my gluten filled party.
boing Yay! I swear if my boys lose to the Redskins, I will go down to Arlington and punch someone in the face. They're 2-5 for shit's sake! Don't become lazy because we're 6-1! I feel very strongly about my boys if you couldn't tell.
That is pretty amazing. My dad is looking forward to not having to go to the in-laws for Thanksgiving. Now we can just hang out at home, eat a bunch of food and watch the Cowboys. We have better beat the Eagles, I fucking hate that team. Them and the 49ers.
My dad got me these, they are very comfortable-
I am also very jealous that you are going to the game. Do you live in Texas?

those are awesome! No, I live in Northern California. We're just going for the game and to visit family.
