Why people on ebay will pay more than face value for a gift card or coupon. It's because they are using their ebay bucks, which expire anyway if you don't use them, so you may as well spend them on something you really can use.
Huh, I guess I've learned that people are still using ebay.... I'll go there if I have nowhere else to turn. But I wasted so much time on ebay 10 years ago; bidding on stuff that went to other people at the last minute
The last time I had eBay bucks, I bought my dad cartridges for his water filtration system. Fun stuff.
I still use eBay but usually for the non-bidding stuff. For some items I use at the office, I can't buy them online anywhere else. You have to call a rep during business hours and then wait for him to call back, wait for him to research some mystery price and then offer a "best price" and so on. Nope, the "Buy Now" button on eBay during a 1 am MOTN is much simpler.
ooh that makes sense! I've also always wondered why people would pay more than face value on a gift card! Oh and I use ebay all the time! That's where I buy all of DD's fancier clothes that I think are too expensive even when they're on sale lol
I've rediscovered eBay since baby clothes. Our Halloween costumes came from there. Never heard of eBay bucks, but I would have been confused by the same thing as you so you've provably saved me future wondering!
To see your ebay bucks balance that is available to spend now (not the amount you've earned but hasn't been issued yet), go here: ebay.to/1DkHtz6 and look down on the bottom right where it says "Spend your certificate!" (I'm assuming that if you don't have any, you won't see that box, but I don't actually know.)

This is ridiculous. You need a new office supply vendor.

I'm not buying office supplies like paper clips, I'm buying boring dental supplies like wax.
